*oops, nevermind, I see what you mean*

Anything is possible but I'm putting my trust in the people and hoping the majority will be honest. And I believe they will.

I will go with Scott. There are so many ways one can screw this up. But there is at least one way people will take this in the right way. I leave my faith with the good side;-)

ETA: Still if you want to add some sort of screening, you can accept nominations from only those usernames who have been active at least once in 2008... meaning had at least one post in 2008. And if it seems doubtful, you can always PM them to confirm their nomination. Just a suggestion, Scott. Although I believe it will work out fine as it is. Thanks again for doing this.

Wow, I am currently going through my favs and its a very hard decision. I will be ready to make my nomination in about a week :-)

I have few favs. will be hard choose the best of the year in the galleries :( the idea of the best of the year is good but perhaps could be interesting eextend the concept and choose the best of the year for every category. or better, the best still life, the best landscape, the best portrait.... but probably it would be too complicated.

I am still choosing my nomination. Will the nominees be displayed at the end?

Yes. Every time someone nominates a photograph it automatically inserts a time and date stamp along with the user that nominated the photograph and the photograph number. Off to the side will the spreadsheet will display the photograph ID number with the most nominations.

Example

Out of curiosity, how many of us have made nominations thus far? And can you easily tell how many distinct images have been nominated? Be interesting if we had 30 photographers nominating 30 distinct images thus far, equally interesting if they had only nominated 2 distinct images LOL.

So far there have been 21 nominations and there is a leader as of now. There has been photographs nominated by more than one user.

I got my nomination in. Is there any chance we can get an e-mail sent to all DPC members encouraging them to make a nomination? THis is a great idea.

I just voted again because my first vote wasn't taken in 2008. Please disregard my first vote and go with the second.

I know you said only one vote... *sigh* And I hate to be a dunce... but since the first image I nominated doesn't qualify, I hope you'll count my second vote.

Thanks.

Life is still good without a brain... although I do miss it occasionally... *sigh*
