I have. It's a nice time waster.

F3 is like Oblivion with guns, right? Does it involve quest after quest after quest, or is it different than a regular RPG? I like the graphics from what I've seen but I am not into questing and finding gems and stuff a la warcrap. ;|

Pretty much Oblivion with guns. Some people think they fixed a lot of the things that were wrong with oblivion, but for everything they "fixed", there seems to be another that was "broken". heh.

It's definitely not an MMO type RPG. Open world, you can do what you want when you want to. It can *be* quest after quest if you play that way, but it can be whatever else too.

Could you essentially purchase a USB Hard Drive and use that for the xbox? or do you need to use the xbox specific hd?

You can use a USB hard Drive to play music and movies from it-- just like plugging in a USB flash drive, but you cant install games or save any xbox content onto the external drive--

ETA:

With an update, xbox will stream play divx and xvid movie files, there also is a program callen XenonMKV that will transfer any MKV files (X.264), (HD content you may find on the web)-- and convert it into a playable MP4 but strips the DTS soundtrack down to stereo-- It works great.

Wow what a finish. GoW2 was one of the best action shooters I've played on a console in a long time. Wicked fun! Last time I had fun with a console game was the first Metal Gear Solid game on the PS1. I mostly played PC games until about 6 or 7 years ago.

GoW2 = Highly recommended.

I haven't played GoW1 and will def buy it when I see it.

awpollard, I got the streaming working, finally. I had 3 services switched off that were needed for it to work.
HTTP SSL
Universal Plug and Play Device Host
SSDP Discovery Service

were all disabled, probably by me a long time ago....

All is well but I can't view divx video. I think there's a MS update to get it to work. Gonna google it.

So tomorrow I'm going to tackle the Rock Band 2 Endless Setlist.

84 songs straight, with no pausing, to get one of the more elusive achievements.

I'm a little worried. 84 songs, and you can't even pause it to go to the bathroom. I might explode.

I think the ONLY way I'm going to be able to do it is by drinking beer.

*edit* and hooking myself up to a catheter.

LOL! Make sure not to electrocute yourself either when the bag blows up!

If you setup the 360 in the washroom, you can stay seated on the bowl and never have to worry about you know what. You have access to water, shower, toilet, everything you need. Fill the bath up with ice and your fav beer and voila, party time!

Rock on!

Music is the best.

Good luck! I'm still working up the nerve to do it. But I'm lucky because I have back-up - my son can play for bathroom breaks for me. Gotta earn his allowance some way, right?

This is copied from xbox360 achievements website-

Bladder of Steel--

This is it. The big one. The one that will separate the boys from the men (and women). You will have to play through the Endless Setlist 2 without pausing or failing a song. Firstly, people have come up with schemes of disconnecting their controller, hitting the guide button etc. Take warning that none of those work, Harmonix obviously knew what people were going to do. This does not have to be done on expert, so do it on medium so that pretty much gets rid of the no failing part. You can fail and be saved by someone, as long as you don't fail the whole song and have to restart. Make sure you have a wired controller, so your batteries don't die on you, also make sure no one unplugs the wire. When deploying overdrive, guitarists, tilt your guitar, don't press the back button, to make sure you don't accidentally press the Start or Guide button. One way you can do this is swap in and out with a friend, each doing a couple of songs. You will probably have to return the favor too. Make sure you have done everything you need to do before attempting this. I think the best way to do this is to wake up early on the weekend, and play that whole day. This can obviously be done with a band, but at least if you do it by yourself, there is less risk and nobody to blame.

I'm never doing that again.

6 friggin hours dude!

I've played GH3 for like 90 minutes in one sitting and that was enough.

Unfortunately, because of the fact that one song, by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, has me completely stumped on Hard I had to play on Medium.

I can finish every song on Hard except that one, which I can generally not make past 80%, and I wasn't about to spend 4 hours playing this thing only to fail out on it.

lol I heard this in a movie once, He who be a Man does not fear failure, Failure Fears A Man, But four hours without taking a pee is definatley an investment i wouldn't want to lose.

Me and 3 of my Friends played WSOP TOC for 8 hours straight Wed Night. Then we played GTA 4 for another 2 hours after that. Went through 3 battery packs on my controller.

I do practice it, but it's one of those mental block things. I can finish much more difficult songs, but this one. I dunno, it has me completely stumped.

oddly enough 'eye of the tiger' gets me pissy... and it's supposedly one of the simplest in the set lists... something about the timing i think...

i can make it through - but the score is nothing to brag about...

Any song that has a very extended string of notes makes me pissy. lol. Try the Bob Dylan song on expert.

It's like in GH3. There's a Poison song that I have hated ever since it came out and whenever I try to do it, on any level, I quit in disgust of the song, it repulses me. lol Probably one of the top three songs I hate the most. I never finished it even on easy. My son does it for me with a really weird look on his face when I ask him cuz I go do something else in another room only to return when he's finished.

I would rather listen to Micheal Jackson than Poison. (what a thought!)

I have the same feelings towards a Beastie Boys song in Rock Band 2. It's, horrible. It's not even music. How it made it on the disc I'll never know. Someone from Harmonix must have a Beastie Boys hard-on.
