This is Thanksgiving week - at least in the US. Next to Christmas the biggest holiday of the year.
What do YOU do for Thanksgiving? How do you prepare? Where do you go? Who is there with you?
From Monday November 24 - Monday December 1, let's post our Thanksgiving photos. Preparation, feast, and aftermath. Document the gluttony and the carnage, the happy times, the stressful times, the people and the food.
Rules? Add some notes to your photos so we know what we're seeing. Post as many as you want. Comment on a few of your fellow poster's images as well.

I like this idea. We eat, drink, shop, watch football, play cards...guess I need to pay attention to what I'm doing this year, lol! |

I go downtown and watch my pathetic Lions get their butts kicked ... every year ... then go pig out and drink too much to try and forget our football woes ... |

Fun idea. I'll toss in an image since today is Monday (admitting to bit of a jump start, using picture from yesterday).
After grocery shopping was done for the week, we went for a walk to pre-burn calories. Captured some images along the way, including this one that didn't quite make it into the "benches" challenge.

I've never experienced the Thanksgiving experience except once in Japan with a large group of Americans (and other nationalities). I had never realised pumpkin pie was so delicious.
Anyway, I hope yo guys have a good week, singing Thnaksgiving carols, kissing under the Thanksgiving mistletoe and hunting for those chocolate Thanksgiving eggs. ;-Þ |

I am going to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving, returning on Sunday. We have tickets to the Blue Man Group on Friday. Bet they will not let me bring my camera in though. |

My family will be doing something a little different this year for Thanksgiving. We will be celebrating it at George Washington's Mt. Vernon. Here are some interesting facts for your next trivia night. Should be a great experience for the kids. |

I prefer smaller game birds, but whatever you bring back we can deep fry it!

This is a photo from last year... Every year, on TG Eve, I join a group for Thanksgiving in the desert. We roast turkeys in the ground, and potatoes in the bonfire. Everyone brings something so the feast is complete. It's something I look forward to all year long.
This year, it is supposed to rain - ahh! Let's hope not! :o) In any case, I will post photos after the event.

If the weather holds all the way though the meal, you'll have Dessert in the Desert. :) |

I think dinner in the desert sounds like lots more fun than dinner with my cousin's wife...lol, but I like the rest of the relatives... |

Expected more activity in this tread. Maybe we'll hear from more of you later. Meanwhile, these cranberries, right out of the freezer, are ready to turn into sauce.

Here's a depressed-looking Turkey I captured last week.
I am not cooking, but will take some photos while at my brother's house and if they are any good, I'll post 'em.
Happy Thanksgiving! |
