A rose is a rose. Maybe I should have wet it a bit.
I saw the ISS and Shuttle Endeavor fly over this evening just after dark. I knew that it was coming and where to look, so I shot a series of 3 time exposures.

I've been pretty tangled up with life lately, and haven't had a chance to post....
This woman is one of the most decent, kind, cheerful, helpful, funny, smart, all around wonderful people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
I kinda think I've got something of a knack for candid portraits, and the thing I like most about this image is that I think you can get a feel for the essence of her character in the look I captured here.

Nov 18th, I got the ISS and Endeavor in orbit again. This time I used tungsten white balance to make the sky blue. The 105 sec exposure was beginning to make the stars have trails, even with the wide fisheye. The sky was very clear, but the ISS being between the sun and my position caused it to not be as bright as it was the night before.
I was too busy to shoot anything today, so here is an out-take from my "Abandoned" challenge file.
Something exciting may happen tomorrow or maybe the next day. Stay tuned for the news if it happens.
