I don't want to gate crash as I haven't signed up and probably wouldn't be able to do regular shots, but these are two I considered for Street challenge.

Taken in Windsor a couple of weeks ago:))

Okay, I'll keep quiet from now on...not say another thing...nothing...

Steve ( pawdrix), I think we need a WAYSMTP wammy. When he shows up in a comment -- well, you know what that means.

Feeling artistic?

I hope nobody minds if I join in here. Better late than never, maybe. And like these musicians, I am just about ready to play.

Ha, that's quite a fun idea.

This little girl was scattering petals in the median strip as I walked past. I have no idea what her ritual signified.

Anyone home... ?

If you don't have anything to post, at least leave some comments -- spread some love around...

While killing time in the library, I discovered a street photographer named Helen Levitt. At 95, she's enjoying a good long life. Most of her work is of mid-century New York. I picked up a book at the library called Slide Show, The Color Photographs of Helen Levitt -- brutally honest imagery captured with a warm sense of humor. Good stuff.

Busy trying out a DSLR. (On the one hand I am scared of it, on the other hand it beckons). Not commenting regularly, and very hesitant to post (digicam pics) because I am not sure I have really raised my tone.

I am not sure whether these are ok as street photos?

I thought there was no catch up this time around to avoid placeholder shots?

11/09/2008 08:49:28 PM · #44
What is a placeholder shot?
11/10/2008 01:51:34 AM · #45
I think Steve meant that there is no pressure to have to produce one shot per day, so you post only the ones you like, however many you have.

11/10/2008 04:40:51 AM · #46
That's what I understood. That we shouldn't feel pressure to post everyday and should post what we think warrants being posted. I hadn't had a chance to upload what I had taken so I put up three at a later date. Don't mean to clutter thread. I'll remove one... ; )

I've been searching NYC passively for classic urban layouts that create a dynamic or sorts but the city is very, very square or rectangular. It's hard to tune into those Henri-Cartier Bresson...e301 scenes when they almost don't exist.

This ones ok but if I had some more time to wait (which I didn't) something interesting would have happened through that space within a few minutes. My friends moved down the road so I'll be back enough to get something better.
