Okay, I'll start and hope others chime in. :)
One of my other choices;
And the one I'd really have liked to enter but shot 7 hours too early :(

Thought this one might have been too boring.
And this was the one I thought about entering first. But the hotspots on the nose worried me.

Marc, I think I like the bull best, but I'm not sure :) |

Both stunning, but I agree with your entry choice :)
The slight diving angle makes it much more dynamic, not to mention the symbolism of the eagle that always gets a few extra points ;) |

Thanks for the outtakes. Great images! I have only one to share. Taken a split second after my entry.

Those two shots are so.... painterly? I'm sure you know what I'm trying to say :) |

Thanks! Here is shot #2 in the sequence. I ended up retrieving these shots from the trash (computer problems this week).

Thought there may be a lot of deer in the challenge - so opted for
instead of these

As squirrels are very common, I decided at the last minute to pull my entry. i thought the details were good but the subject was a bit mundane. |

Thanks Barry - glad you like it. Having more than one shot to choose between for a challenge was something of a novelty for me :-)

I think from a scoring standpoint, this may have done even better than your Armadillo shot (although that scored fairly well also).
This photo is fun and puts a smile on your face, while your entry is more artistic and requires more viewing time to fully appreciate.
Nice to have choices! :-) |

I had a hard time picking something to enter. I wanted (and entered) a flight shot but I liked a bunch of others for various reasons. All birds (I did get some deer shots but didn't like any of them all that much).
