I love my glue gun!

Lately it has become a necessary tool in my photo shoots:-)

Fallen Out Of -Touch -

Used the glue gun to glue petal to metal wire to get it to stay at a 45 degree angle.

My Music Box

Glue gun used to adhere homemade stencils of music instruments/notes onto box.

The Good, The Bad, And The Ducky

Glue gun used to adhere ribbon to 'cloak', keep hat on the head, and rolled up burned paper for cigar together.

Going For the Gold

Glue gun used to adhere colored plastic folder cutouts into the kazoo parts that mimic the eye piece of swim goggles, glue down the black balloon half used as swim cap and rubber band to hide wire front keeping goggles in place.

Bonzai!!!!!!

Glue gun used to adhere sawed sticks to hot wheels track for ski slope, keep the glass goggles on ducks head, keep ice cream stick skis stuck to duck, and to keep the ski slope locked in place to the base of the cardboard so the shaved ice would not move it.

Carnival Games

Glue gun used to glue painted decorative wood shapes for the front of the carnival booth, smiley faces glued to ear swab sticks then stuck to wrapping paper decorated stands, glue sign and ribbon to front, and to keep cardboard box flaps together to look more like a booth.

Ducktor Who

Glue gun used in the building of the Tardis - from scratch!

Mythducksters

Glue gun used in gluing black torn paper to blueprint paper, gluing the glasses to the duck's heads, keeping Jaimie's walrus mustache on duck, keeping beret on head, and keeping mythducksters banner on ducks.

Ganduck The Grey

Glue gun used in creating Ganduck's wizard hat from felt, creating Ganduck's felt robes, keeping his beard in place and keeping the 'staff' standing on the cardboard base.

Ducks In A Row Audition

Glue gun used to adhere the auditions sign paper brick wall.

LOL! Hmmmm - perhaps another idea to shelve away;-)

And DOH! how could I forget:

Duckopolis

Made circular shapes and lines for chest front out of paper clips and then used the glue gun to glue them on rubber duck. Used bent paper clips for front forehead and glued them on. Metal bolt nuts and thick metal wire were used for headpiece and glue gunned onto the duck. Then spray painted gold.

There actually is a brand of duct tape called Duck Tape. Furthermore, the company that makes it has a contest where you can win $5000 for a creative use of duck tape to "save the day". See Duck Tape and scroll down about half way. They also have an annual halloween costume contest for costumes made of duck tape.

I think that would be a great challenge idea. Creative use of duct tape in a photograph. Then, when the challenge is over....we can all submit our images to see if we can win $5,000.

I've heard that it was originally referred-to as "duck" tape because of the way it shed water, and that when subjected to rigorous scientific testing (I think at the Lawrence Berkeley Lab) it was found to work wonderfully for many purposes, but was rather ineffective in sealing heating ducts. :-(

However, it is an effective cure for the common wart.

The Universal Emergency Repair Kitâ„¢ contains only two items:
Duct Tape if something moves which shouldn't
WD-40 if something doesn't move but should

I plan to make a duct tape duck. But I'll also need my trusty gluegun while dressing him.
I think I'd die (or at least crawl into a cave and become a hermit) if someone took away my gluegun and duct tape...

Glue all the MBAs to their recliners at home so they can't create complex derivatives that no one understands that will eventually bring down the world economy.

One last bump for the evening crowd....Hmmm I wonder how many others fellow photographers use the Glue Gun as a 'essential' tool....

We have at least three glue guns at the house and I've never used one for anything. We also have no rubber ducks. Maybe that's what's wrong with my photography, eh? :D

I do have a woody though. My wife says that's all I need.

Well woody's could be a good start- dress it in Indiana Jones attire and recreate the 'running away from the stone ball scene'. But instead of the stone ball substitute it with a large model of the Death Star -that way you gets two great George Lucus movies in one composition:-) Tis also helps if your brain works in weird ways like mine:-P

What a great idea! Now if I can just get DrAchoo to loan me his Indiana Jones outfit... :D

it works alright for duct sealing if you clean all the dust off the ducts first ;}
