I've not had any new votes but my score has dropped a bit. People are going back and dropping their scores on my photo, aww nuts.

One more day to go! Won't be a personal best, but an easy second. :-)

I just had the ultimate compliment for an abstract challenge. Requested validation! Score is low, but I expected it. This is another case of my genius being ahead of the times and my technical abilities being way behind the times.

I'm happy my average has climbed up a bit today, even happier that since I've hardly had any new votes for 2 days, it means some people have gone back and decided my photo is worth more than what they gave originally :)

I wasn't hugely pleased with my entry, I'd never tried abstract before and had a major lack of ideas but my score is better than I anticipated. Thank God it'll be over soon though, this contest has dragged on long enough!

Well here it comes guys... in a few hours, there will be medals flying around!

As for my entry, I would be happy if I could keep it above 4.3 in my first ever challenge. From some criticism, I have a lotttt to improve!!

Best of luck to you. I must say I'm really curious to find out which one is yours!

I'm still within scrubbing distance of beating my average, which would be great because my free study's doing very well. So if this climbs just a bit I can stay in the side tourney for another week.

Jeff, Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but does one need to have a minimum average to participate in a side challenge?

If I may speak. No you don't have to have a minimum average to normally participate in a side challenge unless the rules state so. Anyone can setup a side challenge. The one I think Jeff was probably referring to was //www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=800573 . Where each a challenge entry has beat your personal avg. The link there should offer all the info you're curious about.

Sorry I haven't. I've barely made it to 50% :(
Got my comment on 100pics.

Come on, come on... Any chance of 5+ before rollover?

I think my shot is definitely 5+ worthy, but the old 'abstract' definition is catching me I think.

WOW. I lost 10% of my votes at rollover, and since they averaged 4.5, my score jumped 0.13. The largest jump I'd ever seen before was 0.05!

And Lonni, I see you got your 5 and then some. :)
09/03/2008 12:10:29 AM · #372
Mine jumped by more than 0.2 after the scrubber. I was kind of surprised about that.
09/03/2008 12:10:34 AM · #373
My score jumped by 0.12 as well at rollover. Not sure how many votes I lost, but it went up to 5.5. Quite surprised really.

Almost the same here. I lost 12 votes at rollover that averaged 4.4 so it up my score from 5.89+ to over 6. A jump of 0.1147 I'll take it!

Well, for my first entry, I am happy with this:

4.5098 272 / 316

AND I broke the 4.5 mark (personal goal:-)
