Never been to any other than Scarborough, so why not Ohio, lol!
Get another group and we can invite the Ohio Rennies to Houston!

Awww you can do it, we got 187 miles with 3 boys. Loads of fun in the car... "are we there yet? are we there yet?" (numerous repetitions, rotating from child to child) "i have to go to the bathroom" (just after you pass the rest area). "I'm hungry"... you know the drill :)

Can I go, too?
I have silver Duct Tape, use for RenFest props. We have Rennaisance Faires in Bay Village, OH.
The Duct Tape inventor and factory is up here.
PS I offered DebSterner a ride half way.

The more the merrier! Just bring enough duct tape to share, of course. :-)

This is looking like it could be a great turnout! This is what I am going to be doing today. RenFest offers a package deal at 25 bucks a piece for an admission ticket plus coupons for a meal, a drink a dessert and something else I dont remember. You just need to buy at least 4 tickets at a time. My family can take 3 of the 4 so we just need 1 more person to commit in for the other. But if there are more than that that are seriously interested then I can purchase more at the same time. I am not sure I can go back and add more afterwards. If you know you are coming and want in on this please PM me today. I think they still offer the special after today but at 5 dollars more - which is still a great deal. I will start a list at the beginning of the thread of those attending. This is gonna be fun!

Can I COME Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I don't think I can, but I really really want to.

Such a shame my body would NEVER make it, so I will have to do with photos and reports of your get together, when it happens, OK.....

Sound like a great idea, and a great bunch of people interested.
Isn't it wonderful how photography can bring everyone together like this. Sound like a great get together Tim, especially having our DPC friend Deb, there with you all.

I am 'green with envy', but know it is an impossible dream. I cannot even travel to Melbourne at the moment, to see my own sons, and two grandsons, and that is hard to live with. My old body will not do it anymore.

I just wish you all the BEST, and remember to make sure you get plenty of photos to share with us.

love shez

Ok - onem ore offer. If you are coming down and dont want to make the trip back Saturday night we have p[lenty of room for people to sleep over if they would like. What this means is an extension of the gtg with the option of goofing around in our homemade studio plus a big breakfast Sunday morning. If you are interested let me know.

Tim - when were you planning on buying the tickets? I was planning on waiting till the last minute to see what the weather was going to be like. The rest of my family cannot make it so I am coming down by myself and I know that if I buy a ticket early, and we don't GTG because the weather is bad, then I will probably not use it later.

Terry, let me know if you are going to go. We could meet in Findlay or Perrysburg and either follow each other or go down together.

I am happy to drive some others in my minivan, from Lakewood, OH. I could also meet up with the caravan from Colorcarnival's location. I do intend to stay over Saterday night.

John it looks like you a cool 3 hours from me - a nice ride along the lake. I suppose the rest of the drive is about 4 hours? "We are still looking at our plans"
Translate to read: I am still working on Townley

OK - what we will do for package tickets is purchase them the Friday before the event. They dont have to be purchased far in advance just as long as we purchase them before we arrive becuase we need to print out the tickets. So the week of the event we will get a final confirmation of who is going and I will order all the tickets we need that Friday. If some arent able to arrive until later in the day I will make sure you have my cell phone number to let us know when you do arrive so that we can get the ticket in your hand.

Sleeping arrangements in our house are this - we have one bedroom with a queen size bed, one bedroom with a twin bed and then space on our couch, a large finished basement plus office space for people to camp out in. Anyone staying will just need to pretty much bring your own bedding and pillows and such. I do believe we have a couple of cots and a wonderful twin air mattress (and I mean WONDERFUL - most comfy thing I have ever slept on outside of a real bed). And breakfast the next morning should be friggin' awesome. More details on that to come as we get more sleep over reservations.

We do have 3 cats so if you are allergic fair warning.

John has the first reservation. Keep em coming. ;)

Debbie you didn't have to copy my typo, I know how to spell Saturday. Y'all know why I get so many typos. It's in my blood, I've got type-O. Thanks Tim. No, I'm not allergic to cats, they're probably friggin awsome, but I'm about 70% vegetarian. Need more Nikon shooters.

John - since my family is not coming with me, I think what I am going to do is go to Cincinnati the night before. And then head up to the festival on Saturday and head home after we are done. Plus I think it would make more sense for you to go thru to Columbus and head over that way. I think you would end up with a longer trip if you ended up stopping here first before heading south. I'm still about 45 minutes from I-75 and then I think it's another 2 hours to the festival exit.

Kinda on the fence still - but Townley was just saying last night that it would be fun. I'll remember to ask what her work schedule is when she gets home tonight.
