Yeah, but now I seem to be seeing an ad for PriceGrabber on the Photographer's Profiles page... or has that always been like that? (Yes, I'm logged in.) |
I am pretty sure that has always been on the Equipment pages...but can't remember seeing it before on the Profiles page! |
You lot aren't very observant then, are you? That pricegrabber bar has been there for oh, 5 years now? :) |
I thought it might be my powers of observation (or lack)... shows you how often I go to that page. :P |

You're doing great, Langdon. From what I can tell, it's practically seamless.
I see one small problem - all day, comments that I marked "helpful" haven't updated even with the Control F-5 maneuver. Tiny thing of course, but still, a glitch. |

I have been making comments all day without any problems...I'm just not getting any! It must be the system... |

Has anyone else noticed that if you close your IE/FF window for DPC that you have to keep logging into the site? My information is saved through FF but when I select the remember me button it's not remembering that I want to stay logged in. |

There are two check-boxes -- one for your user-name only and the other stores your password in the cookie (I think) and logs you in automatically when you open the new window. If you have both boxes checked you should be in unless you specifically click the Logout link at the top of the page. |

When I check the first one the second one automatically checks itself. I am not clicking log out, just closing the window. I wasn't having the problem until after DPC came back online. |

Well, I guess you can either wait until Langdon drops by this thread and sees your report, or send him a ticket right away -- depends on how much of an inconvenience it is to you. |

I'd recommend you log out, close the browser, then delete all dpchallenge.com cookies. That should solve the problem.

There seems to be a problem with the "Insert Image" tag in forums.
When using the ([img] [/img) tags, they are not parsing correctly (either to external or internal images).
Obviously, the thumbnail tags are still working... but the image tags are helpful/required for tutorials, etc.
Is this an intended change? |

Thanks but it did not solve my problem, What did solve it on the other hand was I somehow changed the settings in FF.
Cookies to be exact, I some how set it to "delete cookies every time I close FF" instead of saving them. FYI when you delete cookies you remove data. |

Is it just me or all the user profiles opening MUCH slower then before the upgrade.
For example if I try to open Judis profile it takes about 2 minutes. Dirt_Divers profile takes about 20 seconds.
Is this normal? |

Judi's profile only takes 2 secs to open for me, and less than that for dirt_diver's. Which browser are you using?

I just deleted my private data (all boxes check) in FF. Then closed FF and reopened. Had to login, came straight to this thread and click on both profile links. Again both opened in < 2 seconds.

I don't know -- I just opened mine in 8 seconds. :-(
Try clearing your browser cache and experiment again. Or restarting your computer (documented to solve almost all problems -- fees may apply). For profile pages, there shouldn't be much difference in loading time, unless there's a signature loaded with images. |
