I have this one from 2005....

This is a picture I took last year, long exposure, just waving the camera toward a wall and curtain. There was nothing there resembling a human. I was working on the room so there was some Sheetrock and two by four's. It sure creeped me out.

And it gets worse. I did this the next day pointing at the same wall.

My experience with ghosts I am sure can be explained by the type of light switch we had but I still tell it like it was a ghost.

We had our kitchen light dim and brighten several evenings in a row, always during dinner. After about a week of this happening I yelled "you do that again and I am going to punch you out" which of course made the light dim.... So true to my word I made a swing towards the area of the light switch which of course must have made contact with the ghost. The ghost apparently did not want any more of what I had and never came back, to this day I sure hope is was not my Grandma that I hit.........

Before I go to bed I have to explain how I got these two pictures. I was recovering from surgery and being laid off from my job last year. I had time on my hands. The first picture I got with only about 20 tries. The second one the next day took over 200. I only saved the one that looked good to me. I think they are only accidents, the long exposure along with waving the camera around.
My wife stopped me after seeing the second one so I went on doing something different and forgot all about em.

That sucks. I'm sure if it was your Grandma she understands.

I will resist the temptation of being an idiot now....

John, for someone who doesn't believe in the supernatural, you sure do have a knack for finding apparitions!

These shots are really creepy and interesting.

It's been fun to read this thread and hear about the experiences of others. I have another one to add. Today I was training a person who will be working with me in the liquor inventory business. We were standing in front of a wall of wine stacked in cubicle shelves. The shelves have no back and are open to another shelf of expensive cognacs. I said "Please be careful when pulling out this wine, so that it does not fall through the back and make an expensive mess." At the exact moment I finished this statement a bottle of wine rocketed out from the shelf, at which we were looking, and whacked me in the knee. The bottle didn't break, but did leave a large bruise on my leg.

Probably just a coincidence, but what great timing! I have been auditing that place for eight months and never before has a bottle fallen from a shelf like that.

Roxanne isn't that exactly how it always happens, right when you mention something it happens. Hope the knee feels better.

I agree. I guess it's my inquisitive nature and my fascination in the believe of the paranormal. And here's another one I took tonight. Just a wall a radiator some rocks on the radiator and the edge of a window. 10 sec. exposure. It exposed very dark, nothing to see. I pushed the contrast and brightness till an image appeared. You tell me?

Is Pareidolia related to George Washington? Because that's who I see;^)

I don't see much of a face there. Now maybe if I saw something more like this and there wasn't actually a man standing there or some elaborate lighting trick, I'll come over to your side. :P

On a completely unrelated note, holy crap, what an awesome picture!

Cool shots..and I seem to have one, in a challenge shot, this very minute. Clearly I can't reveal what the pic is, but once the challenge is over I will post it.

Alright everyone...

...who, or what, is in the reflection? I was dressed in dark colours and well down and to the left, so I wouldn't be reflected. The only other *living* person on the property was the owner, who was nowhere near the set. There wasn't any laundry outside or lawn chairs etc.

Yet more than one other person sees a spirit in the reflection. Eerie.

I think this may be another case of pareidolia.

I looked at the lantern for a few minutes and didn't spot anything that jumped out and made me think "ghost" or "human apparition." Perhaps you could circle or describe the area in the photo where the ghost is supposed to be.

Bottom third of glass of lantern, seems to looks like a person wearing a white short-sleeved shirt, arms upraised.

Arms upraised, as in holding a camera. In the dead centre of the convex glass. Right where you'd expect a photographer to be.

Yes, while voting I in fact thought that was the reflection of the photographer!

I'll take your word for it, but I find it hard to believe. It looks too much like a person (including fingers on the hand in front).

I am NOT the reflection. I was wearing a black T-shirt and dark jeans, and hunkered down to the bottom left, not standing in front of the glass, shooting head-on like someone new to photography might. And the owner of the property was several metres away on his deck, well out of the shot.

Susan, keep taking deep breaths. No one is disagreeing with you or saying it's actually your reflection!

Oh, I read what you wrote. But the fact of the matter is, a more reasonable explanation than "a dead person is peering into a lantern at the exact spot a photographer would be" is that the reflection is you, despite what you say about your clothing and your position -- which would be a physical impossibility in capturing this photograph unless your camera was on a tripod. And why are you so upset about it? If you believe you've got a ghost there, so be it. But I'm not buying, and if you offer up that explanation for consumption, don't expect everyone to bite, and if you ask "who, or what, is in the reflection", expect an honest answer.

My wife just said,' I'll take a lie detector test, there were no humans around when that picture was taken.'

This is my favorite face in the picture. Of course there is nothing there but..

I fail to see the figure in there but must say the reflection of the landscape is quite beautiful. Love the eerie distortions.
