Alan, that's great!!! A friend if mine here just had the same thing happen recently. He hasn't been able to pry that stupid, happy grin off his face since. Aren't kids just something?

Ernie, best of luck!

I threw in an entry for boats that should be a solid 4.5.

I will NEVER figure out what the voters will like or not.

I had a great time shooting for portrait but now I can't decide which one I like, is there anyone that can help the indecisive please?

Good to see things haven't changed much in my absence...cute subject, nothing oof, not too much pp and decent comp, good comments (except for one noted dpcer who I think has won about 10 solid brown ribbons, who left a comment b/c 'I only see one boat'...oh PLEASE)...

I just want to b*tch-slap the DNMC interpretation @$$holes that think that they have to be so pedantic as to make that kind of distinction.

ETA: OOPS!!! Sorry, that was out loud, wasn't it???

I suppose he doesn't have enough imagination to come up with anything else...wonder if he moves only in an L-shape? Oh sorry, that's another piece! :-)

Ok this is a little bit better

Well, I'm having a really bad day! Deb, you may be getting your camera back soon (for a bookend as asked). I'm sitting here in tears! I used the camera setting for sensor cleaning and used a blower thingy to try to blow out some dust bunnies that were multiplying. When I turned it off to reset it, it got stuck. I tried turning it back off and on, nothing! I'm going to take it to get looked at tomorrow, but I just have this acidy feeling in my stomach that it's going to take a fortune to fix. I'm so depressed. And I just ordered a new battery for it on Friday.

I FINALLY have it. And I can get it in the garage if I'm vewy, vewy careful. Still working on how to get out of it once I get it in the garage....

You might find an old mattress or something a little less yucky like some foam rubber wrapped around a bit of 4 x 2 and fire it up against the garage wall so you can open your shiny new door against it with impunity...

You know, I was just trying to think of something I could not-so-neatly duct tape to the wall for just that very purpose. I actually have a couple of old pillows upstairs.... But a thin sheet of foam rubber might be the better idea.

Wow what a snazzy ride! That should work just fine...and hey, Deb, you are tiny so getting in/out through the sunroof wouldn't be too difficult...

ROFL. That's out-of-the-box thinking. Literally. ;)

I'm really happy with this. I really like the shot but didn't think the voters would.

One commenter asked me if I used a technique, that I had to look up, and once I looked it up, could not understand.

How cool is that????
