I'm going to be at FAnime this weekend, and will likely miss the Sunday rollover. Unless one of my vast army of evil clones beats me to it, I'll get those up mid Monday.

Congrats Ernie, big time. Best of luck.
Rob, have fun.

Oh and Karen and Jeffrey ... I will be very close to a top five (with your help in which photo to enter) but sadly I don't think it'll make it up there.

I haven't won any money or contests, don't have a picture of the day, haven't got any government funding (except my usual paycheck which is worth about 1/3 less than when I first got here); still don't have a new car and the dealer can't tell me when it will get here, but it's too late anyway since I wanted it for when my dad and his wife were here and they're leaving on Thursday. Haven't been to any nifty conventions, haven't shot anything worth posting, and have gained at least ten pounds while my dad and his wife have been here. Silly people, they seem to think you have to eat every day and more than once! What's up with that?

Anyway, 'grats to all the suckers doing good things, getting good deals, new jobs, new cars, new cameras. Glad to hear the world is good in many places!

I have just been accepted for some gov't funding to begin my own photography business.....

Since I already have all the equipment required, they supply me with a guarenteed income for the next 40 weeks while I build up my business, and help with a business plan and setting up the books etc etc. :)

My plan is to do on-location photography for portraits, pet portraits (that will be one of my main focuses), event photos on the weekend (races and such)...whatever I can get my hands on. That way there is very little overhead because there is no studio. Proofing for portraits and pet portraits will be immediate on my laptop and for events it will be done on-line.

I am so excited I am shaking. :)

Ernie

Ernie,

That is incredibly exciting. A huge congratulations and please do not forget us when you are famous.

Same here Deb, life is just as humdrum as ever. Still I am thrilled for all of you TSers that are having a wonderful and exciting life at the moment. I am still just waiting to get my mojo back...

Heck, I don't have anything exciting

AND

I'm not a member of TS.

How pathetic is that?
05/20/2008 05:50:48 PM · #507
I thought all this time you were a TSer Karmat. Would you like to be? You have all the stuff for it I believe.
05/20/2008 08:06:18 PM · #508
Congrats Ernie! That sounds like an opportunity dropped in your lap. Good luck!
05/20/2008 08:10:52 PM · #509
Well I can ditto what melethia said, I have nothing exciting in my life going on. I have entered two challenges one to start the other going on and sucking along nicely. My congrats go out to all the TS's that are doing great things. Maybe their karma will rub off on me.

I'm a closet member. I've just notcome out of the closet, yet.

What do I have to do to open the door?

You need to ask Posthumous very nicely. He will give you a secret initiation task and once you complete that you will be assigned to a team. Easy as falling off a log.

Personally I think you are perfect TS material.

I'm not sure I agree.

Most of us have strange personality quirks or something fairly weird about us and/or our lives.

I say she must reveal a weird thing about herself and/or her life that makes her quirky enough to be here.

Poet, racecar driver, owner of one too many cats, collects antique thimbles, manufactures box kites......you know, the usual TS kind of sideline.

I nearly got a new bicycle. We cleared out a building in our condominium/housing collective, in order to rent it out. Lots of bicycles and all sorts of stuff, including one real snazzy thing that was supposedly owned by someone who moved out some time ago. I gave an ultimatum to her via one who is in contact - if it isn't reclaimed by 17th May (constitution day) then I'm having it. So it wasn't and I took an angle grinder to the lock thing and made it good and rode it around a bit but she came back last night and I gave it back. She was all sorts of righteously angry and demands I buy a new lock. She has my permission to attempt the anatomically improbable feat of whistling up her jacksey.

I'm sure it's all downhill from here, but I'm finding it quite ironic that the second I join Team Suck I start getting quite good scores!!

Blurred bikes are up in the special delayed results thread. Congrats to JerseyGenie and patio127 for leading their groups and getting personal top 5s, and to Doyle for the week's top score!
