But it's the focus issue that makes you say that. You don't understand how a photo can be out of focus and still work. I call it DPCitis.

I don't understand how a photo can be out of focus and still work? Have you looked at my portfolio?

Please refrain from making blanket statements about my artistic sense.

GO GIRL but dont start making the men cry ;)

I really like the shots, especially the first few.

More worrying was why that link was blocked by my work firewall due to it being "pornography" ?!?

I figured Art would have posted something with him crying by now. This just isn't like him.

How about a "loosers crying" DPC challenge. Anybody who has never ribboned can do a self port of themselves crying about not winning.

I was trying to show some restraint.

Sorry I'm late.

You're right. I have no idea how you feel about blankets. I'm sure that there are categories of out-of-focus that you appreciate. From your portfolio, I'd say that you lean towards blur rather than oof. You like a certain stylishness, thus your preference for the Fishburn shot.

But there is a rawness to the del Toro, dafoe, craig, hoffman, whitaker and madsen shots that *I* like. One could argue that they seem contrived, but I'm not seeing that argument. Instead, I'm seeing cast out of consideration this entire mode of photography. And that's how one blanket leads to another.

I'm sorry I was unfair to you, but I find that I have difficulty waking up people's sensibilities around here unless I put in a little shock factor.

I can only imagine how powerful a collection of images showing everyday Joe would be. It would hard to pull off to. Ask an actor to cry? No sweat. Try to ask your dad to cry? (If he's not an actor) Good luck. If you pull it off? Try it on complete strangers. Pull that off? You've just got yourself possible Pulitzer.

I am not sure what a "looser" is...maybe i am just to uptight ;) but i would definitely take a shot of myself fake crying, why dont you throw that into the suggestion thread!
