One careful owner - several ribbons won. Posting here before
putting it up on ebay - the price seems to be typical for what
the base camera is selling for on Ebay, without all the extra
stuff mentioned here. I can accept paypal payments.

For Sale
--------
Canon PowerShot G2 4MP Digital Camera
32 Mb memory card, battery
InfraRed remote control
All cables, original packaging
Adobe Photoshop 5 LE & Canon software.
In addition to the basic camera system,
49mm Lensmate filter adaptor
Hoya 49mm +4, +2, +1 close-up lens kit
Hoya 49mm UV filter
Hoya 49mm Circular Polariser
Tamrac Expo 1 Camera bag. 3 pockets, Main holds camera + flash or filters
I'm looking for $400 for all of the above. Original cost is over $1000.
For an extra $100, I'll swap out the Expo 1 bag for a brand new, unused Tamrac Velocity 5 bag (worth $70)
and add in a Velbon Max i 343E digital camera tripod (worth $130)
and a Velbon UP-4000 monopod ($30).
So $500 for everything you see here. Buyer pays shipping costs. |

It's still a good deal! That camera's won a first and a second - my D60 is third rate in comparison!

I'd rather sell it and have someone use it than just having it sitting around not being used for anything at all. |

This is a new twist on the "is it the equipment or the photographer?" debate. Maybe it is the SPEcific camera. Someone should buy this just to test the theory. |

unfortunately, he probably won't get as much as possible for the deal since many people are wary to purchase from eBay users with no/little feedback ratings. =\ there should be some sort of verification service for eBay to make a user more credible as a start-out seller - i've noticed sellers with low feedback ratings rarely sell their item for as much as someone with even a minimal (20+) amount of feedback. |

Well, y'all can trust me :) And christmas is just around the corner....
If you are thinking about a Canon G3 Brian, the G2 is pretty close to as good and with the rest of the kit its a great offer.

Hey Gordon,
Just curious, what with being in the market for a camera between now and X-Mas, also being the only bidder for about 5 3/4 days, how much did you end up getting for the G2?
I need (OK, don't need, just want really really bad) a new camera because I'm only getting more and more frustrated with the severe limitations of my point and shoot.
If I'm out of line asking, just ignore this!
Thanks,
TC

Yup, got $355 for it. Bidding picked up a bit towards the end though I suspect not having any selling history kept the price down a touch.
Anyway, it just about paid for the Optio S4 that replaced it.

Thanks for the info! I was hopin' that I would win, but didn't really have the cash NOW if ya know what I mean. It also would have seriously cut into the camera I really want to get between now and X-Mas... Oh well, I shouldn't act on frustration alone!
