Now the negative challenge is complete, let's see the un-negatived versions of your negative shots, just to see how the originals stand up, and for our own amusement :-)

I looked at the original of my entry and actually I quite like it as an image in it's own right.

Original
HSL adjustment layer applied
Then inverted to create my entry

I've oversaturated it to give me bright colours on my final image (I used a polarising filter in the first place) and I'm not keen on the sharpening in the tree.

PS: if anyone has any feedback for mine, it'd be appreciated :-)

The left shot was my inspiration, it was a shot the week before and I inverted it to see what it would look like, when I inverted it I decided to head back to the tree for another shot to use for the challenge which is the shot on the right.

Outtake, I almost used this one but I did not like the light area on the right center behind the Yucca.

Overall it was a tough choice I felt I had three good shots for the challenge which is rare for me...lol

Besides the crop (I couldn't get closer and didn't have a longer lens with me), the major postprocessing step was inverting the luminance in the LAB space to maintain the colors. Steps are given in the entry description.
