Garsh! Thanks folks. I'd like to thank "The Academy" (it's a preschool I went to as a child run by harsh disciplinarian Nuns - that's where my "dark" inspiration comes from).
Seriously, I am flattered. Both my photography skills and my editing skills would be crap if it weren't for the time I've spent on DPC. As often as I have thought this may not be the right venue for me (being more on the digital art side, than photography) - I find that I come here much more for the interaction. I often refer to DPC as my second home and I am happy to refer to so many of you as my good friends that I've never met, but hope to.

Yay - I'd like to vote Art for 'Honorary President' - not sure what of - but I'd like to vote it anyway :- )

when ken found out about his new and valued status as member of the week he succumbed to the lure of the celebratory drink .. as you can see he didnt stop at one ... i'm worried that any further accolades will damage his health .. :)
& arent i the party pooper ??.. apt considering the background .. !! :)

this is the real ken
 ..
i was extremely surprised he was able to maintain his disguise in the grips of such inebriation ..
because any photographs of him appearing human are photoshop tricks ... & considering the difficult conditions he works under, ie the fingerless hands & inebriation, he is still able to come up with some amazing processing .. extremely impressive ..
so despite his weird appearance he's still a very deserving recipient of the member of the week award .. !!:)

| Ken may not be my statistically favorite photographer, but I was seriously bereft when he appeared to disappear from the site. So relieved to find he had only reinvented himself with a consummate new username. Thanks for all the giggles and those serious shots, too, some of which are in my faves. |

| I'd list my favorites from his portfolio but this post would go on forever! Ken is one of my favorite photographers on this site, he makes me laugh, smile, and say awwwwwwwww way too many times. Not to mention the fact he has always been very helpful! My family (not photographers) love to see his new work and always seem just as amazed and excited about it as I am! WTG Ken!! |
