WOW! For a minute I was upset until I see all the company I'm with. No wonder they have their head in a bag. |

Kind of like Opposite Day on the Sponge Bob episodes. LOL - it's an April Fools thing but I wonder if it will disappear and all of those who entered, will have done so in vain. It's interesting. Sounds like another FS to me. hee hee |

I'd guess there's a difference between DNMC and DQ -- so no, it doesn't mean you can go outside the rules.

Someone has just given me a DNMC in the Feb Free Study!!!! WTF is up with that?
AFAIK it's not possible to DNMC in a FS. Any ideas?

Man oh man....April Fool? Whoever is doing it needs to develop a better sense of humour, as do I apparently.

I hate it when this happens, but I have the perfect picture in mind, but don't have the resources to pull it off. |

Well a challenge for which entries are to "not meet the challenge" creates a paradox. It really can't be done! It would have been better to have a DQ challenge with a special rule that allows otherwise disqualified entries. That could have been met.

I disagree, I think creatively and philosophically it can be met. More on this after voting though ;) |

So here is my thoughts on this:
A picture that would meet the challenge (DNMC) is a picture that doesn't meet the challenge in a given challenge. To broaden that, it would be DNMC in all challenges.
The challenge description however negates that and says to take a picture that doesn't meet the challenge which means it would meet the challenge on a given topic.
So um...yeah. Its a free study.

I'm going to DNMC every one of the entries! |

If you use a photo taken some other day, then that would be a DNMC photo... so, you could pretty much use anything. Maybe I'll scan a photo of me taking a bath as a baby and enter that! Haha

Actually...that would be DNMR (did not meet rules!) and would be DQ'd. May want to reconsider. :-) |

but that would also violate the rules, and thus be a DQ. |

The task i not actually to make a photo that does not meet the challenge - the task is to create a photo that BOTH meets and does not meet the challenge. Impossible? Maybe. What if it equally met and did not meet the challenge?
for example: Is the glass half full or half empty? One could argue it is neither and it is both. |

The instructions state "Create a photograph that does not meet this challenge."
Assume I create such a photograph (that doesn't meet the challenge) and enter it. Then it would meet the challenge, and by meeting the challenge, it would break the instruction and would be DNMC.
The only way out I can see is to create the photograph and then not enter it in the challenge, since it doesn't meet it. Better to enter it into "Free Study".

I think i'm going to to skip this one since I have a sore throat and could use some rest - not stress. I'll think outside of the box some other day ;)
