One of the delinquents checking in.
I am sorry.
So much has been getting in my way recently that I just
haven't had the time to participate in this fascinating Thread. And
I want to. So, the dearth of comments (forgive me) and the lack of
images is not something I wanted, my life has just been waaaay to
full of stuff.
I have just wandered quickly through some of the beautiful and fun
images presented. They are splendid.
Wonderful to know this Thread is continuing for another month. I do
hope I get things under control enough to particpate.
It's a mind-stretcher.

A quick note - I've been so crazed and I miss this side challenge so much! I don't want it to end. How about we just have it ongoing? There are many ongoing threads, like the humorous title and the pick your fav, etc. Why not this one?
Any thoughts? Judy?
ETA - I just read through the thread and saw the lyrics suggestion down there. I'm all for keeping it going as is - including lyrics, poems, prose, quotes, haikus, random thoughts, etc. But let's keep it going!! :o)

This had been so much fun. What a great little group we've gathered here over the past month. I think after two straight months of side challenges, I need to take a a bit of a break, though. I will check in with this thread throughout April to keep up with all of the wonderful work, and perhaps post a few myself. Thanks to everyone for the comments and contributions. I've thoroughly enjoyed this month of sharing. :) |

Words and music: lou reed & john cale
I think images are worth repeating
Images repeated from a painting
Images taken from a painting
From a photo worth re-seeing
I love images worth repeating, project them upon the ceiling
Multiply them with silk screening
See them with a different feeling
Images
Images
Images
Images
Some say images have no feeling, i think there's a deeper meaning
Mechanical precision or so it's seeming
Instigates a cooler feeling
I love multiplicity of screenings
Things born anew display new meanings
I think images are worth repeating and repeating and repeating
I'm no urban idiot savant spewing paint without any order
I'm no sphinx, no mystery enigma
What i paint is very ordinary
I don't think i'm old or modern, i don't think i think i'm thinking
It doesn't matter what i'm thinking
It's the images that are worth repeating
Images
Images
Images
Images
If you're looking for a deeper meaning, i'm as deep as this high ceiling
If you think technique is meaning, you might find me very simple
You might think that images boring
Cars and cans and chairs and flowers
You might find me personally boring
Hammer, sickle, mao tse tong, mao tse tong -
I think that it bears repeating the images upon the ceiling
I love images worth repeating and repeating and repeating
Images
Images
Images
Images
I think that sums up this month pretty nicely. THANKS EVERYONE!!!! Here is the link to the new side challenge for April:Verse: a Pictoral Interpretation

Thanks to Judy for coming up with this wonderful side challenge and to everyone else who participated! This has been the greatest, has encouraged me to come up with some different ways of looking at my cats, and I'll definitely be continuing in April :-) |

I am patient with my bovine gals
They know what I will do
When a trespasser wanders by
Conflict will ensue
I keep to my own in the fields
I dine on grass and hay
Impregnating the lady cows
All the live-long day
There is only one of me
I have won the prize
Chosen to sire the lot of them
Because of my strength and size
So keep yourself away from here
I have a job to do
I got a date with a pretty little heifer
Who just got here, she's new
