I offered this last year, but no one took me up on it. I'm offering again to my fellow DPCers......

If you would like to visit Alaska this summer, but think it's too expensive you are welcome to stay at my home. This would save you a bundle in hotel costs. I don't have a huge place, but do have 2 extra rooms. My only strict rules are no drugs, and smoking outside only.

If anyone else has an offer to make - opening their home to other DPC folks, feel free to post it here.

Linda, I'd take you up on that, but it may not be until I return to the states to live - just a tad too far from where I am now!

I will also offer lodging to fellow DPC'ers. I live in a lovely little town called Hochheim, just across the river from Mainz and a very easy, short train trip from Frankfurt. I have a guest room with two twin beds and a couch.

Steve, don't miss Düsseldorf, if you come to Germany, it's only 200 km from Deb's place :)

the willingness to share and help each other out is what I love most about DPC. You all are the best.

I would offer up a place to stay where I live, but my military barracks room isn't much bigger than a jail cell...no really...but I do have an extra bed :) Maybe once I finally move home I can extend this offer out or even take someone up on it. eta...especially late next year when my wife and I are planning on taking our daughter to Ireland...hint hint anyone ;)

Linda, my dream is to visit Alaska. IF/WHEN we get to the point we can do our dream vacation, I will be ecstatic to take you up on your generous offer for part of the time anyhow.
And if anyone is visiting central NJ please feel free to drop me a line). We have a very small house, but since we're empty nesters we do have an open room (if I move my photography stuff off the bed!).

I don't do drugs or smoke, but I am an axe-murderer. Is that OK?

Linda as long as you can house us 4 I may take you up on the offer next year. We already planned vacation this year. I will have to check plane prices though.

Oh, how I would LOVE to vist Alaska AND Deb in Hochheim! I have always wanted to see Alaska, and I used to live in Frankfurt, and have always wanted to go back -- that and it would be so cool to hang out with Deb again :)

I wish I had a traveller's fund I could dip into. Sigh. But I'll be dreaming.

If you have me over the same time as Jaime, I can axe-murder his dogs if they cause any trouble.

You can try Slippy, but I warn you. My dogs are smarter than squirrels and the average canadian. :P

As long as I am still part of this great universe next year, you are more than welcome to come - all 4 of you.

Sorry, but you'd have to board the dogs elsewhere - too stressful on the pugs and cats to have strange animals here too.

I think I'm offended, would love to take up some of these offers but the travel budget is being invested in renovations this year.

I'm heading down to Phoenix in April and was thinking about making a day trip down to Tucson... will there be wildflowers left to photograph in April? Maybe we should GTG.

If you miss the wildflowers in AZ, head north to AK....they won't even start blooming until May. :P
