I'm in fences. It's a dumb picture of a fence, duh, and it's pretty tedious, so I may be looking at high fives here :)

Must you always be so condescending?

Interesting, Jeb.

This puts me somehow in mind of all the times I've had comments saying 'I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking at' (the picture, dummy). Or even the ones who are not ready to admit to being so dumb so they blame their eyes, as in: 'my eye does not no where it should focus'. Yer heart bleeds for them doesn't it?

So, you bring this trophy of your creative outpouring into the realm of the ladies in your life. Your tail's wagging and big brown eyes begging for the pat on the head and 'good boy Lassie Jeb' etc. All of which is naturally forthcoming because they mommas didn't raise no fools.

But what is it? This big glossy thing from out of nowhere and it doesn't have the face of someone they know or a car they know you've got some special relationship (sic) with... What's it a picture of? The poor ladies are right out of anything beyond the pat on the head and maybe a little tickling behind the ears...

Then when there's nobody presenting it to them or crowding around to bounce their mirror neurons all over the place, they are able to see this peaceful and complete composition. It is no longer asking them to do anything (or telling their eyes what to do). They can see from a quiet place where anything can happen but nothing can happen wrong because there's no given order for it to comply with.

They wouldn't have time for all that shit if they were voting on a dpc challenge now, would they?

Sorry about that, it's probably the noble blood.

I'm in for Fences and I even put one in for free study how dumb was that. I think that I'm a sucker for the bad comments I'll get. I happen to like both of them. On another note going to TX for a week getting out of the cold of Colorado.

This's so freakin' scary accurate I'm *almost* speechless!

Just tried a marathon of comments on the blur challenge before rollover, but pooped out after 22 - I'm such a wimp. But I hope I gave out a few to some fellow TSers. I really liked what was on offer in this challenge, gave out almost 100 7-or-better votes. Looking forward to see who did what!

My eyes know where to go -- under the branch and across the field into the distance. And my mind and body will follow.

Polluted and blurred entries are up in our results thread. Congrats to skewsme for the top score, and the red ribbon for Blur, and to kelli for the top (and only) entry for pollution.

Bragging rights for the week also go to skewsme!

Congrats to excellent blurry messes, everyone! And esp. to Skewsme for her out-blurring almost everyone on DPC.

Brian, I'm delighted to hear you heart is sound. I've had two episodes of atrial fibrillation, so I know it's no fun to worry about that muscle.

Bear, I hope your time is going as peacefully as possible. I know that situation is also no fun.

And I'm amused to report that I'm in the thick of the brown ribbon hunt for Environmental Portrait:

Thanks, JuliBoc, that's pretty much the essence of what I was trying to accomplish with this shot.

Unfortunately, I was on my way to work at the time, so reluctantly, I turned to my car and left. I am grateful that there is such beauty around me that I can stop and capture this kind of thing on my way to work.

Kinda makes the commute nicer.

Does this mean I have to comment on my own shot? ROFL!

Yep, Kelli, I think it does. :-)

I'm back in Germany. Had a BLAST in jolly old England. It was a pleasure to link up with fellow suckers and extra thanks to Sara and Jelena for showing me their towns. I recommend both as delightful places to see (York and Cambridge) and if you're in York, you MUST do tea at Betty's.

Glad to hear you had a good time Deb!

Anyone care to tell me your thoughts on this image? I need a flower shot for the April Photo Club (flowers theme) and I just got done processing this one. I could use one in my portfolio, there's no time frame on when it was shot.

It's a miracle, I'm expecting the score to plummet any moment now.

At 74 votes, it shouldn't be doing anything drastic.

You go, girl!

The last 6+ score I got was last June, so it would make a very nice change indeed! :)
At the moment happily sitting at 6.29.

Fingers crossed for you Jelena!

I may have something for Pattern but have nothing for this week so I'll just get yappy again...

Just a quick update on mom, she is still alive but no change, just like she was when i found her Thursday. We are going to have to move her to another care unit tomorrow as medicare will no longer pay as there is nothing the hospital can do for her. I may not have internet there and i am going to miss it, it sure has made the long nights pass quicker. Thanks for all the nice comments.

Kelli, I left you a comment.

I recommend this video to all of Team Suck, esp. given our discussion of left vs. right brains. And David, given what this speaker says, maybe your mom's in a more ... interesting ... place. Make sure you watch the whole thing.

And Jelena, congrats on your score!
