I have two books that I would be willing to loan out:
How To Take Great Photographs - John Hedgecoe
How To Look At Photographs: Reflections On The Art Of Seeing - David Finn
I will mail these out to anyone who is interested... one book per person... I will expect to have them returned to me or forwarded on to another person of my choice when you are finished with the books. I will mail these anywhere in the continental United States...

This is a great idea. I have a long list of photography books that I was going to start writing mini-reviews on too.

I would be honored if you could loan me either of those books. I would prefer the second but would happily peruse either!
PM me for address if I qualify.
Thanks in advance for the consideration!

I just bought 'The Complete Guide to Digital PHotography by Michael Freeman which I found kind of basic, but had some inspiring examples. Good for beginning to intermediate photographers.
I also just bought Martin Evening's 'Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for Photographers' which is for very advanced photographers. It's amazing! I ain't lending it to anyone!

why not join 'bookcrossing'?
This is an excellent way of re-cycling your books.
You can send them to another and keep track of where they go!!

Thanks for the tip :) I signed up there this morning and registered a few books that I will leave at the local coffeehouse when I go there this afternoon :)
I haven't registered any of my photo books there yet but I will :)

Sounds intriguing. Can you tell us more about it? Perhaps an example of what it helps you do? |

In a word: it approaches EVERYTHING. It keeps itself pretty much to enhancing photos, but it is very detailed. I'd never thought of using curves on the various RGB channels, but what a great tool! That's just one example. The book is quite thick, and starting with the first chapter, I learned new things. Worth every penny!
