Paparazzi hounding Spears arrested

Well deserved? What do you think?

Better laws should be created. Any person should have the right to be in public without a swarm of photographers 3 feet away at every step.

personally, i think that britney (and lohan and tyra and all of the rest of them) would curl up into a ball and weep if they didn't have paps hounding them all of the time. there are plenty of "celebs" who are able to keep their private lives private without the cameras and the drama. i really have no sympathy for them when they're purposely trying to attract as much attention as possible.

although i did have to crack up when some paps caught Rachel Hunter buying giant rolls of toilet paper at big lots while wearing sweatpants.

I think anyone that is willing to spend their entire day following around a washed up hasbeen pop icon just to get a picture of her through the tinted windows of her car certainly deserves what they get.

If they are blocking sidewalks etc... Yes they should be fined.

But I ask. what good is a small ticket going to do to prevent further violations. If these guys get one usable shot they can clean up 10G or more plenty of money to pay that ticket and a smart photographer will figure out a way to write it off as a business expense.

I do not feel sorry for Britney as she brought this whole media storm on herself with her childish behavior and I am not sure what the obsession with her is at this time. She should have already been forgotten.

I agree. Maybe a little sympathy for the ones who just had baby's and everyone's trying to get a shot, but the rest are just crazy. Most of the video I see of britney, she is saying and acting like an idiot. She knows the video and cameras are there, so if you don't want it all over the news, then quit acting like a freak.

If I accidently forget to wear panties and then accidently get my photo taken, I will definitely remember that for the next time :) or third or fourth.....

What will prevent further violations is if the public quits eating this stuff up.

The paparazzi don't do this for their health. They do it because the s$%t they produce sells.

That's the truth! At risk of a sidetrack, it's similar in nature to violence in video games...if it didn't sell they wouldn't make it.

Be careful what you wish for. It'll probably be 'any person in public should have the right to have you arrested for being near them with your camera'

true.true. - i'll leave the actual law to be written by someone who sees things EXACTLY the way I do only who can write it out on paper that way ... in a manner that can enforced without any confusion or misunderstanding.

:)

We don't need a law. We need the general public to quit being seriously intrusive into other's lives, celebrity or not. Who cares what Britney does next or did last night.

Watching someone "successful" fail in such a spectacular, public way, makes some people feel good about their own shortcomings.

Actually about Photographers David Tonnessen and Christian Shostoe who were arrested for trying to get shots of Spears, and if their arrests were well deserved or not...open to discussion :)

Maybe so, but if it weren't, tabloids wouldn't have much success.

Maybe we need a law against the tabloids.

What would I read while waiting to checkout at the grocery store?

A book? Or go to the grocery store when it's not so busy.

Yeah, but then I'd have to carry the book around with me the whole time.

I tried going when the store wasn't so busy, but the only time that wasn't during the work day was in the middle of the night. This has significant disadvantages: The deli and meat counters are closed and I get sleepy. I spent half of my time nodding off as I wandered the aisles and the other half trying to force myself to stay awake by sticking my face in front of the produce misters.

I went to a supermarket at 1am on a Friday evening, once. There was a guy checking out in front of me buying 27 tubs of margarine and one loaf of bread. I think the loaf was a cover story.

I haven't been back since.
