I guess I could represent the country I was born in.

Put me down for the Dominican Republic. That should Give Dirt Diver a good run for his money.

As far as the Olympics is concerned, England isn't a country. Are you going to split up the UK into teams ?
02/11/2008 01:29:11 PM · #129
Please count me in for the German team as well.

Put me down for the Kiwi team.

Although having rear-ended someone on the motorway this morning I don't really feel like shooting anything but an AK-47 ;(

Yes i will be. But I may take the Central American countries such as Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico and combine them.

I'm scared that I made a mistake on the teams. I hope I got everyone who asked =S I almost made an error with Enzo.

As far as having alternates, you may have up to 2! However these alternates cannot be used if you are unable to get 4 people to participate in the challenge. They may only be used if one of your team mates officially drop out of the tournament, where someone may replace them.

Well if you wanted to just put the rest of the singles into other groups that don't have all the members yet I wouldn't mind being on the German Team

I cast a vote to have this group honor the continued existence of the Republic of Texas and allow us to field a team.

Don't Mess with Texas!

Since the Olympics started, over 2000 years ago, Iceland has won not only one, but TWO medals !!!

Never for first place though ....

Dear friends from USA, how many have you won ?

Bah.. I think the better question is how much do they get paid per medal :)

I was actually thinking that. If slippy wants to join, I would graciously give up my spot for Canada.

are there going to be drug tests ?

02/11/2008 04:16:02 PM · #143
Better check the Icelanders for performance enhancing drugs. Not sure what kind of drugs you need to take to see the Northern Lights 8 months of the year but I am sure they are on them! (j/k guys)

:)

There is white stuff everywhere in Iceland, it's no wonder they see strange lights in the sky. In fact, they see so much that it actually affects their cameras as well!!

Can't we just cut their power? No power - no northern lights?
Then they are mortals like the rest of us?

lol I wish, lets just hope there aren't many challenges where they can use the northern lights.
02/11/2008 04:22:53 PM · #147
Cutting their power would just make it so Larus doesn't have to travel 3 hours to get his shots. To see the Northern lights as often as him I'd have to move to Nunavat. (hmm...maybe if I lived in Churchill, Manitoba I could get Northern Lights AND polar bears!)

02/11/2008 04:28:29 PM · #148
OMG, northern lights AND polar bears in one picture .... isn't that something like hummingbirds AND bees? -> unbeatable
02/11/2008 04:44:02 PM · #149
I'll be in the UK team if it'll hve me :o)

Thanks guys, but I did see this thread earlier, but didn't join as I don't have much shooting time these days. But I'll be rooting you on, GO CANADA!
