It's deja vu all over again -- another mediocre score with a FAV. I must be doing something right. ;D

I got you beat, except for the shock part: 3.7

I knew it would score low, but I may get a brown out of this! I'm going for it!

I just do not get this place! I entered in advertisement. Keeping in mind that it is in basic editing without text allowed. the shot I entered is very representative of the kind used to sell the product I featured. It is crisp, clear, the subject is the only thing in the picture so it is not confusing, a tough shot to capture and I thought it would easily be well above 6. It is sitting at 5.4 with two comments, one of them a "would do well in a more appropriate challenge like a free study"!!!! WTF is that?

I can honestly say that I am just about at the end of my rope with the crap at this site. People have no idea what the hell they are talking about, but give you a 1 and leave a stupid comment anyways.

The reason I liked this place was because it got me out to shoot more, and more varied subjects. I just do not think that it is worth it anymore.

Not fair, I thought for sure my eyes was a brown ribbon winner, 4.1579. And I tried so hard to suck.

And ironically I work in Ophthalmology; you would think I would know bad photos of eyes when I see them.

I'll just have to ladle out some sympathy to yous guys - my eyes entry is running significantly over 4 and it could hardly be more dnmc. Way impressed with your limbo score, Gordon. Ernie, don't you dare leave the rest of us to badmouth the voters when you're our one and only champ.

I'm convinced there's some evil algorithm that's dividing all of the actual scores by 1.5. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it!

And hipychik, looks like it's you against me in Round 1 of the Enzo tournament. Very cool! I'm going to take a picture of bread in a pan then decide which challenge to stick it in based on number of entries, or perhaps the toss of a coin. :)

I've had 2 entries over 5 in the past 10 entries (probably more, but I only went back that far).

Yeah! I'm so excited to be in the race for the bottom with a photo only a mother would love: 3.9844

My Free Study entry climbed up to 5.81 from 5.72 after yesterday's rollover. This would make it my highest scoring Free Study yet!

Ok...You do that and I'll pan a piece of bread that I toss in the air. This will be fun! :)

Just came back from a long fire practice session + photo shoot, and I've decided I have a new favourite photography branch - fire-lit portraiture! It's pretty dramatic, and a lot of fun to play with :)

I would love to see some examples if you have any processed that you would be willing to share.

Just sorting through them - I only just got them onto my computer. I'll post them as soon as I get around to editing them, I should have some by tomorrow. (it's now 1am here, and sadly I've got work early in the morning, otherwise I'd be tempted to do a photo-editing all-nighter :) )

As a taster though, here's one a friend took of me :)

(it's the first time he's ever used a dSLR, and it's quite a tricky lens because the DOF is so shallow. I'm damn impressed.)

Jelena, he had a beautiful model - how could he miss! And I really like the whole fire-lit portrait idea. Given the way the first one turned out, I think you're on to something!

A few pics - went out to the truck the other morning to go to work and whoa, Nelly... there was a sky that was simply beyond belief. The pics haven't been edited too terribly much and the color did change as I drove on. Sadly, some of the best views were from where I had no place to stop. And I only had the P&S in the purse with which to shoot. But I did get a few shots. Enjoy!

That is beautiful Deb !

All I've gotten recently is kiddie snap shots. I *thought* I had a shot for reflections, but it was no where near clear when I vied it full size, so I scrapped it :(

On an upside - my "Eyes" are sitting at 5.3.
