DPC amazes me everyday!! I am so glad that I am a part of this great community/family!
I will have to take the sidelines too .... hotpasta has always been a favorite photographer of mine and I really feel happy seeing the support he is getting here!! |

ok, here's an update:
We currently have 32 participants along with others who are simply contributing money.
I AM GOING TO CONTINUE TO TAKE NAMES. IF WE CAN GET TO 48 IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS I'LL DO A 48 ENTRANT BRACKET. IF WE GET TO 48 ENTRANTS I THINK WE SHOULD SLIGHTLY RAISE THE % ENZO GETS WHILE KEEPING THE 1ST AND 2ND PLACE PRIZES AT NEAR THEIR CURRENT ACTUAL VALUES ($250 AND $120). |

| Leave first place at $200 and give the entire "overage" to Enzo, and I'll join as a bye. Sure, I'll shoot and enter, but the effect is essentially the same. :-) |

| i would have been happy just to contribute. being in the challenge makes me nervous, but i've already committed now so i won't back out. however, should an unlikely miracle occur and i come in 1st or 2nd, i'd prefer to throw it back into the main contribution. |

Love when a community comes together to help out it's members.
If I weren't saving to replace mine, I'd be jumping into this mix.

I just skimmed Hotpasta's thread and am slightly embarrassed that something like this could happen in my home town. What the hell is up with kids these days? Saddened to think that this happened in the town were I was raised and hopeful that my own children will never have to encounter a situation like this.
Please send me your paypal details Jason to allow me to contribute to the new "Nikon" body fund for Hotpasta.

A PayPal question for the experts out there:
If I send out a mass email just giving my Paypal account and people put money in it, is that free? I believe if I send out an actual email invoice there is a 2.9% fee. Is this correct? I want to minimize fees wherever I can. |

If you have a Premier or Business account, there's a fee regardless.
There's also an additional 1% if there's a currency conversion involved.

If your account is a premier/business account, then the fee schedule looks like this and the percentage will vary depending upon your month sales amount:
