I just love these flowers as they are just beautiful when in bloom. The tree itself isn't very attractive as it is mostly bare when not in flower, followed by leaves. .We have a few trees grown here in our village but this one is my favorite. |

I feel your pain and it is just day 8 HELP!!! |
if you get behind i'd suggest that you dont comment on every single photograph you've missed .. maybe just concentrate on the last page or two .. that way you can spend more time on each one ..
if i get behind i try and comment on the last page .. two if i've got the time .. i thoroughly enjoy looking at everyone's lives and reckon i'll get to see most ppl's, and comment, in the 21 days we've got left .. :)
just my 2 cents worth .. :)

I'm going to be taking more shots here tomorrow and the weather is rainy, windy and overcast. I'd appreciate any ideas that anyone can give me to shoot in these conditions. Here is one of the shots I took late in the afternoon of where I'm staying.

Day 8 - Gotham
This is another one from my stroll after work last night. A bit of an experiment, but I think it turned out well. Let me know what you think.
Thanks everyone for all the generous comments on my submissions so far. This challenge has been great for me. Really encouraged me to get out and shoot and explore my new city that I already love so much.

This is a little stream about two miles outside of Boiling Springs. An ice storm tore through this area and in the midst of damage and power outtages, this lovely scene emerged. I discarded this image for the Decemeber Fre Study and have been rethinking the choice ever since! LOL!!!

I have been busier than a one-armed paper hanger this week, so I haven't been able to either shoot or comment much. I'll be back!!

Let me just say this about that.....
I have participated in a couple of these side challenges and I have to terll you, having dialup to view images and make comments is pure HELL!!!
That said, what I have found is that these challenges draw the nicest people who are most understanding and forgiving to those of us who just can't possibly comment on every image.
I have made some terrific friends here, and what I do is my very level best to make sure that I get a chance to comments on a few images.......from everybody.
What I have been taught is that it's much more important to participate, and share in the fun than it is to make sure that you comment on every image. After all, you all have lives, and this is supposed to be the fun part, not a chore.
This is the part I enjoy most on DPC.

I have never made it a point to comment on every single photo in a side challenge. I do try to make comments to everyone, but even without dial-up it would be a full time job to do them all. None of us has that sort of time.
Try to keep it fun. Pick and choose a few photos that you really like, or that you can make meaningful comments on. |

A quick view out of the office window in the dying light when I realised that I wouldn't be able to get home before it got dark. The life ring that should be hung on the orange post has been dumped in the river by a passing vandal.
