We are going to have a new addition to the family tomorrow, Casper, a white 5 month old deaf cat. He is great, looks like a Siamese and as friendly as a friendly thing.
Maybe a subject for animal portraits soon :)) |

my cat is so hard to distract though. I was trying to get a shot where he wasn't rolling around (which is what he usually does) I need him to actually pose :P |

Promise him lots of catnip if he does what you want...or wait until he's tired.

This and a few other shots took about 1/2 hour of following Louie around on the front lawn,(crawling on the lawn on my belly getting strange looks from passers by) - but it was worth it. He's gorgous.

wow very nice cat :) I have 2 cats. The one i took a picture of looks exactly like the one timfythetoo has. Black and white. Very contrasting :) And my other one is gray and white, where he looks like a dumbdumb. Plus he has a caterac in his left eye :( |

I admire anyone that gets good cat photos, I swear one of mine has worked out the timing on the shutter lag, she poses perfectly and in the lag time just disappears, I have hundreds of photos of places she was a split second before. |

I have given up trying to pose my cats for pictures, I just follow them around and keep my camera close and hope. sometimes it works, but I have a lot of pictures of cats behinds! |

My daughter's cat was so entranced by the strobe going off that she just sat there and stared at it!
