PDP = Podcasts for Digital Photographers has now been launched.

It has been a huge job getting it all done. Lee, Wazza and I worked hard getting this together with such short notice. A week ago I had never even recorded conversations. Within this last week I did a crash course in recording conversations, working with audio editors...learning how to recognise 'umms' and 'ahhs' in peoples audios, bringing in other audio file formats, converting, cutting and pasting, recording straight into programmes etc, etc.

On top of that at this time of the year the internet is not the best with so many people online and weather in certain zones. Audio was terrible to say the least on many of the interviews...and I do thank the people who were patient through it all. People had tight schedules and yet with very little notice, stepped up to the plate to be a part of this project.

thegrandwazoo has built an awesome website that allows you to view the images from each of the interviews whilst you listen to the podcasts. You can even pause the image during the interviews.

To make things easier, FocusPoint has designed a ribbon that will be sent to everyone who features on a podcast. It will be linked to the podcast site so you can listen to their interview. So keep a look out for this ribbon.

I would really like to send out a special thanks to the following people -

lkn4truth - For starting this whole project off in the first place.
thegrandwazoo - For the absolutely incredible job you have done with the website.
FocusPoint - For helping with the idea and design of the ribbons and the dpcradio links.

Thankyou to all of you.

There is so much in the podcast....surprises, scoops, laughs and amazing stories. There is something for everyone.

So with that been said...here is a run down of all the people who are featured on the podcast.

langdon
Larus
thegrandwazoo
DrAchoo
Brad
librodo
nico_blue
De Sousa
grigrigirl
scalvert

And the following members sent me Xmas greetings that are also scattered throughout the podcast.

lentil
FocusPoint
Dirt_Diver
roz
Simms
levyj413

Initially we only wanted this to go for about 20 minutes....but...it couldn't be cut down any further...so I do apologize for the 55 minutes of recording. We have split this into 2 sections to make it a bit easier.

So without further ado...here is the link.

PDP - The Christmas Edition

Enjoy and Merry Christmas!!

Very cool. I will immediately add this feed to Juice. Be good listening on the way to work, or when I want to torture my teenager while in the car.

Very well done, guys! I enjoyed the whole broadcast! Kudos to Judi, Waz, Lee, Leo and all those who participated! I would liked to have been in on it, but am getting over a horrendous cold and my voice sounds all hoarse and evil-like. Wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong impression. :)

I must say this about scalvert: I am suprised with all those ribbons he can't afford to not have to take all the props back! I'm guessing he doesn't even take them back himself - he probably has his butler do it for him! :P

Lastly, I will restate what I've said on many occasions: Women with Australian or New Zealand accents ROCK! Judi, Lentil, Roz, this means you. :D

Thanks for adding those download links so quick! I'm going to listen to it while I tweak my perspective entry. Maybe it'll provide me a tip or a flash of inspiration I can immediately use.

This is just SO much fun. Congrats to you folks who put it together!

Now that you've achieved success, of course, here comes a suggestion. :) Can you bring in the other DPC multimedia that's been created over the years?
- earlier podcasts
- last year's reading of Posthumous' poem that Konador compiled
- the various videos shadowghost put together from threads where folks chipped in photos to illustrate songs (e.g., Piano Man). I'll volunteer to help you find them if you're interested.

Note to Art: come hang out with my family. My brother married an Aussie and my stepbrother married a Brit. I LOVE going home. :)

Nice job everyone with the PDP. Site looks great, the interviews were wonderful, and the two co-host did a great job. Glad to see it back.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

Can't wait to listen to this, will download now but listen in the car on the way to work tomorrow, wouldn't be able to concentrate with the kids running around. Nothing wrong with a long podcast.

Thanks for doing this everyone.
