I didn't much care for it when I voted or when I looked again. Arsenal's come fly with me is awesome though. A world where people's heads turn into giant bug antennas |

I totally agree about goodman as well. Artful doesn't fare well around here, which makes me love her stuff that much more. |

sadly, i didn't vote on the whole challenge, but these were grossly underrated.

I'm sorry - I'm easily confused ;) He did 'break free' I hadn't yet had my morning cup of tea, was still befuddled with sleep and a weekend of shooting too late and too early.

I really liked those first two - the Giles image is deeply rooted in my Scottish up bringing so stirred some memories. The plane reminded a lot of 'radio flier' by Keith Carter (see for example //www.edelmangallery.com/carter.htm)

Fromac's shot looks like a scene from Heroes

I liked this coldly, stark and brutal prison shot from MaryO. I thought she conveyed the hopelessness, the "all who enter here" effect nicely.

I also really, REALLY thought this was underscored:

It did well, but IMO, It should have done a Top 5 at least.

This little girl's look just goes right through me, it damn near makes me weep with the angst it conveys, and I faved it.

I am still thrilled to get the comments that my image got. I understand the subjectivity of judging, but when everyone took the time to comment so kindly and constructively, I felt even better about the image than I did when I submitted it. Thanks for the kind words everyone. |

i do love Alex's photo but he already has a ribbon and i thought this was about celebrating the hidden treasures. anyway, that's where my favorites in this challenge came from so that's from where i choose. along with Les' brilliant shot, i choose these (in no particular order):

     bassbone

     jenesis

     grigrigirl |

It's not really my idea, either. De Sousa started it. I mean, really, ribbons are Drew and Langdon's idea!

I agree but I pick my ribbons during the voting because I want it to be anonymous. |

Also loved bassbone's shot mentioned a couple of times here that didn't finish in the top 20, and this one:

      jjbeguin

Again, one that sparked my imagination. A deceptively simple shot that drew me in and made me wonder about the people and the conversation they were having. [/quote]

I also really liked the one above. Exceptional photo in my opinion. |

My only 10 and top pick for the 'Book Smarts' challenge didn't make the Top 10. :-/ I really liked this one and thought it had a nice connection to the challenge theme.

Must agree with this. As soon as a saw it, I thought "this would be perfect for a Posthumous ribbon". |
