I really wanted to do that, but couldn't figure a way to do it without picking on people (and maybe hypocrically?). That's why I loved the REAL POTD. It did sort of the same thing, but in a self-deprecating manner.
I propose that Setzler's REAL POTD be allowed to remain in the forum in which it rightfully belongs: Hardware. |

I'd like to suggest taking mag's idea one step further and give site council the ability to create forum sections. This is not the only time a new forum section would have been nice to have. The ability to ignore arbitrary forum sections would also be a blessing.

Actually that is a good idea too. It would certainly mean a bit more initial work to create such a system, but it is lazy, smart work.

While were at it, I'd like to see a search capability for the forums -- or maybe there is one, I just don't know where it is. Chances are, the answer to a question, especially by a newbie (such as myself) has probably already been discussed to death out there ... somewhere ... but where?

our great site admins have been dormant of late.
but like a dormant volcano i am confident that any moment they will erupt with a powerful explosion of changes and improvements!!!!

It's no powerful explosion, but it's a small start. Forum section created -- let me know if that covers it right.

I only got 16. But then I noticed that they go back about 24 hours. Maybe its all posts in the last day, or the last 10 posts, whichever's more? |
