I cruise a lot of profiles and see this a lot.

Votes Cast: 627
Avg Vote Cast: 3.4864
Votes Received: 1,369
Avg Vote Received: 6.2600

votes cast almost match the number of entries in the 5 entered
and with avg cast of 3.4 think this is what drags everyone down,
have found a couple with less than an avg cast of less than 3 .
My entries are fair and score as such but when you see the voting
scale on some entries you wonder who votes 2, 3, 4 on them.

You're not supposed to mention specific entries in the forums while voting is going on. The reason is that it might influence how others vote, and voting, as much as possible, is supposed to be fair.

However, if you mean, can you leave a comment on the pictures you think might win saying something like, "I think this one will ribbon!", that's perfectly fine.

Thanks Ursula. I was definitely asking about the former, and it makes all the sense in the world... sadly I can see that some might be influenced either positively or negatively by other's opinions. Thanks for the clarification.

Gotta say that all the moaning and complaining about scores in the upper 6s and lower 7s has me pretty much convinced that the mere mortals (me) should simply not enter Free Studies. :-) It would make it easier for the rest of you to get more votes with fewer entries, don't you think? And for the record, I've not given any 2s or 3s.

Heh. Nice long showers aren't looked upon kindly - water is a limited resource - hot water even moreso. And when I get to where I can upload pictures again, I'll be sure to post one of our showers....

Not complaining, but i have entered 4 free studies and scored 6.4x in three of them (ioncluding this one). I am stuck with 6.4 have to think something different next time.

Freak accident. :-) The rest of my record is not quite so interesting.

It's taken me nearly 5 hours to vote on about 80 entries. I have access to a computer but that computer doesn't have very good access to the internet. On average, I have to force a reload two to three times to get a picture to fully come in. I am getting nice long (very long) looks at the tops of a lot of pictures, though!

But as we're stuck waiting for transportation and don't have a lot to do while we wait, I shall continue to plod along as the system allows. (It shuts down completely at 5 pm local not to return until the next morning... )

Well I've spent two days virtually stationary at 6.2xx and 6 comments.

Still as i said before, could be worse.

Don't even get me started on the 'mere mortals' remark ;- ) lol

I'm sure the rest of the camp wouldn't mind giving up some of their water if you explained how much you wanted a shower Deb :- )
