why must these things come into our homes and terrorize us?

Great shot!

I think the more important question is... why are we so terrified of little spiders?

While I'm not crazy about them, and I definitely don't want them on me, I'm not terrified by them just being in the house. But I know idnic really gets freaked about them. :P

They do get rid of the other creepy crawlies. I love da bugs. I took an entymology class in college. That was cool. Did you know the Native Americans used a certain beetle, dried, as an aphrodisiac? Now if I can track a few down I'll take em to meet Cindi. ;)

You changed your name, Spider? Oops, I mean, Leroy? ;)

Oooh, I'll have to take a few shots of my new friend for Cindi! When I went out to the car yesterday a lovely, big garden spider had built a web with one main guyline across to my car. I verrrryyyyy carefully unhooked it and wrapped it around a branch, and the li'l cutie seems satisfied with my work, because she's still there :)

that's an odd looking spider! what kind is it?

luckily here in holland we don't have the poisonous ones. I saw this documentary ones about a spider in australia that follows you (even up to a few kilometers??) and then attack you. they were very dangerous.

*brrrrrrrrrr*

*off to hug the harmless wolfspider in my hall now :-P
