People's homes tell a lot about them, what they like, what part of the world they are in, etc. To better get to know each other - how about posting pics of your home; your favorite things or your favorite rooms. What makes your house a home for you?

Here are a few shots from around my home:

Note - my house doesn't usually look that clean, It was set for the pics. :)

Great idea Cindi. Very nice.

If you come and clean my house I'll take some pictures and post them.

I only have 1 good pic of my house, this is my living room at Christmas. But you have given me an idea....to take good pics of the rooms of my house.

Okay, I'm not cleaning any houses.... unless you pay first, sign a property release & let me have my way with the place! :D

Karen, that's a lovely image. I was actually inspired by some of the interior architecture shots I've seen posted around here & found immediately that its not as easy as I thought it would be. Have fun & post your pics! :D

Its a fixer upper. Just had over $20.000 hail damage to set us back. But insurance will pay for most of it.

FYI it a Second Empire French Mansored brick home on about 3/4 of an acre lot in downtown Pueblo.

Comfy place! You need a table, though. :)

I should get some photos of the condo now that I'm all moved in and pictures are hung up. Still not finished painting, though.

Not very exciting since these were taken when I was looking at the apartment with the real estate lady, but this is where I am now living. I do have furniture now :), but still lots of unpacked boxes. The piece de resistance (for me at least!) is the sauna! I do live in Finland at the end of the day, and no self respecting Finn would be without one. It can definitely be classed as a non-essential luxury item, but it is pretty nice having one all to myself! (and yes, I do use it!)

I have to say, I do have a pretty good view. West facing balcony over a lake. In fact, the view is the reason I took the apartment really. (and the sauna of course!)

It's hard to avoid lakes in Finland.
I went to Tampere once. ;-Þ

I posted this in the "Where I Live" side challenge a while back, but this is the most favorite part of my whole life (or one of them). It's the back of my house where the grill is going almost every night, and where our whole family hangs out on Sunday afternoons. I look so forward to coming home every evening and sitting on the deck with my hubby and solving the problems of the world. I call it my sanctuary.
