I was recently accepted into the Radiography program at my local community college. This is a two-year program for an associates degree in the field of Radiography (x-ray, CT, and MRI). My class has 10 students, and we are trying to come up with a cool T-shirt design so we can have shirts made up for the first-year students. The theme is primarily X-ray during the first year. None of us are graphic artists and we are looking for some uber-cool t-shirt design for this project.

I know there are quite a few excellent graphic artists in this community, and I'm looking for someone who would design and donate this graphic for use on T-shirts for these students. We don't have any money to pay for a design, but I'm sure I could at least give the donor one of the T-shirts that we will have made for the students.

What we are looking for is some cool graphic (preferably a single or two color graphic) that can be used with the following information:

Catawba Valley Community College
Radiography Students
Class of 2009

Thanks :)

Students always seem eager to poke fun at themselves so I suggest an x-ray of a skull with a tiny brain inside.

I bet someone on this site could Photoshop something like that together pretty quickly.

No artwork here, but congratulations on being accepted into that program!

What I would really like to have is a skeletal hand image either doing the "OK" sign or the two-finger "peace" sign to use on the shirt...

I'm looking into some of the Gray's Anatomy images also since they are public domain... if I can find one with enough resolution to use...

I think I have an xray of my hand around somewhere from when I dislocated my thumb -- it might be possible to manipulate it into the form you want ... and I have a local chiropractor with xray equipment so it might be possible to take such a picture next week if you haven't found anything by then.

I have a copy of Gray's -- it should be possible to scan at as high a resolution as needed, which is not that high if you are going to silkscreen onto Tshirts.

I have Gray's also and I may do that.

Don't expose yourself to any unnecessary radiation :)

I have a friend who is a tattoo artist. I'm gonna talk to him and see what he can come up with for me...

How about a graphic version of Brad's Cat Scan?

Especially given the name of your school ;o)

This is the design I ended up with. I hope the rest of the class likes it. I had a friend who is a tattoo artist draw the hand for me to use on this project...
