You May NOT:
use ANY editing tool to move, remove or duplicate any element of your photograph that would change a typical viewer̢۪s description of the photograph (aside from color or crop), even if the tool is otherwise legal...

You may:

apply filters, effects, dodge & burn, and other tools to all or part of your entry, but NO new shapes or features may be created in the process.

I don't know if my entry will get DQ'd because I used a filter, I hope not, I should just get my e-mail ready then with the original picture :)

True, although the rules are actually VERY similar despite the changes in wording.

This one?

Yeah that doesn't look photoshopped......

Oh gosh no. I don't mean....
Okay, obviously there are photos where it only makes sense that they were done through Photoshop. Dodging and burning, etc. So when I vote, I'm not trying to say "does this look like the person edited it?" because I EXPECT that they will have edited it. But if, when I see it, my eye is drawn towards the *effects* of the photo rather than the photo itself, that is what I'm talking about disliking. Does that makke sense?

In this challenge the effects are very important to the challenge....

Well the filter dislikers are catching up to me ; ) Started with a 7, went up to an 8.33, and its steadily dropping, now at a 7.1...

For the most part, "features" = shapes/physical things. IMO, as long as everything significant in the original is still visible in the entry and no new objects are created (starbursts, for example), we leave it to the voters. It's worth noting, however, that you can make some surprising effects without PS.

I guess we did it right, read on...

Impressionism (art), a movement in painting that originated in France in the late 19th century. Impressionist painters were considered radical in their time because they broke many of the rules of picture-making set by earlier generations.

This will be one step closer to bumping my Motivational Poster off my top 4 I hope. Just as long as it stays above 6.15ish.
