I shot this for the ongoing blur side challenge. I deliberately moved the camera around during the 0.3s exposure.

I'm baffled as to how I got the trails on the baseball players. They go in all different directions. Can anyone figure out how I moved the camera to do that?

looks like a mixture of the camera moving, and zooming in during exposure...i could be wrong?

Looks like you zoomed your lens.

Zoom blur for sure, I'd say.

Ah! I knew I used zoom blur on some other shots, but forgot on this one.

Thanks! :)

Nevermind...

Damn, I thought it was "How'd I get this tail in my shorts?" I was thinking, finally - someone else to commiserate with!

I have one of Catherine's tail from the DC GTG, but she made me promise not to show it.

Thanks for the PM, Jeff. You're right, it's best not to post it in the forum. ;-)

Jeffrey, what happens in DC is supposed to stay in DC. Now Art has seen my tail and everything. Please promise you won't post the Gorilla Pod photos...

It does look like a zoom trail I was thinking that if you had the camera focus and then moved the camera either foward or back during the exposure it would cause the trails.

LOL. Ken was just kidding. He didn't offer me nearly enough to share that photo.

But now that you've mentioned the Gorillapod shot ...
