Can someone give me an example of this?

Im thinking it would be like having a door way serve as the frame and the subject be on the other side of the doorway?

Something like this?

Oops, jumped the gun, not a doorway. Sorry.

Im not sure. Maybe? I mean I dont see why not. But I guess the question arises how much does the "frame" need to surround the subject?

It's all about what looks good to you. Framing a subject can lead to a very interesting photo, completing a scene. Try a few different compositions/angles and see what you prefer.

I'm all alone in the office. The others flew off to Arizona, and the receptionaist called in sick. I'm the only one dumb enough to show up. There's a busker festival going on downtown, maybe I'll go take some pics. I'm lonely here all by myself, with only telemarketers and angry investors to talk to on the phone.
:-(

I'm not much for coffee but I do love me some flair.

MK - you do know that the nazis had pieces of flair that they made the jews wear.

I figured that line was coming next.

I changed my mind. I don't want coffee or flair. I want kung fu.

Well, I can't watch Kung Fu right now, I have a meeting with the Bobs.

10th place shot in rural landscapes was a nice, subtle example of this.

In retrospect, I think the light pole should be further to the left, but oh well :-)
