It doesn't have to be a spyder, but calibration is absolutely necessary. Once you have a calibrated monitor everything else looks awful.
Still holding on to a 6.43.

True, but then you start to take advantage of that full dymanic range in your editing. Then you get comments like the one mentioned. :( It is a no - win situation. |

Thankyou kindly. I have nothing against quoting...heck I am one of the worst ones for it...but I do try to remove the unnecessary text from the quotes. I know some people are still on dialup...or...use their mobile phones for the web (I know I do on occasions)....and overquoting only irritates or inconveniences people in certain situations.
Does that make sense?

it makes for sure, but this few bytes does not impact their speed, trust me ... the reason i quoted my score like this is just to keep track for myself and maybe would you :-) like to see it also LOOOL ... okay.
i'm off to  for some BBQ , wine and fun with family ...

I understand that...but there are better ways. Can you imagine if all 300 members did that to keep track of their scores? There is a better option....and one that will give you an indication of what votes are going onto your entry. There is an excel file out there for this purpose. Just say so and one of us will send it to you. :)

Actually have gone up... only one comment and no faves, but I'm relieved the comment appears to be by the troll. Was around 5.19 yesterday. Again, first entry ever, so I'm happy if I'm above the average.

no problem, i love stats very much but not in such detailed way so i have to know every vote in voting period... i love more cumulative stats ... for example i started this thread some time ago and it's still quite useful and interesting at least to me.
