Hi I thought it better to start here. I have been a member for almost a year and have been able to enter any contests because I can't resize them correctly. Help. Any advice would be welcome ; ])

You might want to start off by telling us what software you have available. :-) And welcome.

If you don't have something already, I'd recommend Paint.net

Check this tutorial for a quick guide on resizing. It's PS specific, but the principle steps will be the same (or similar) in most software.

Hi
I currently use IrfranView. The one with the red animal? They had a free download through myspace. I am not very familiar with photoshop but my Mac Pal gave me a pc version(which I don't know how to use....ug!)

Irfan View it's a beautiful nice little piece of program, very sympathetic (as in cute). And, easy to use. For example to resize your images all you have to do is click the image menu, then resize/resample. Alternatively, after you open your image on Irfan View, you can use the ctrl+R shortcut. A window will open and on the right side you have some standard sizes, but on the left side you have options to set custom sizes, as per pixel, inch, mm, or percentage of the original image.

if you pm me your email addy, i shall send you a small program I wrote for my wife to resize images, to send to other people.
Note: it only resizes the images and it does not do anything else.
