I just got my printer and am wondering where everyone gets their paper (in the US). Any tips for good deals?
I'd like to get Epson paper to go with my Epson printer (Epson 960).
Thanks |

I use a Canon BJC 6000
I buy my cheap draft paper at Walmart.
And my Kodak Photographic paper at Fry's Electronics in the 50 sheet packages.
For Businesses Fry's does not accept Amercian Express, but if you go to their website they do? Figure that one out.

I just bought an Epson 960 as well.. it arrived yesterday. I have printed on three types of paper so far. I have a stash of the Kodak Premium Picture Paper (59lb High Gloss). I printed a few samples on this paper and the results are excellent... not to mention that I can get 75 sheets of this at Sam's Club for $20. I also printed a sample on the Epson premium glossy and the Epson heavyweight matte that came in the box with the printer. The results on those were excellent also, but the comparison between the two different brands of glossy was undetectable. I also intend to try the Epson Colorlife premium glossy also...

If you are looking for genuine OEM stuff (ink and paper) you may want to check out the prices at Atlex. Also probably not a bad idea to check out the Deal Ink ink price comparison site to see if there are any "deals" available...

Pay close attention to the 'printer setup' when you start to print.. it does not default to the optimum quality settings... |

I have had BAD luck with the office depot brand paper. Everything I have printed on it fades very quickly and my black and whites turn green... this is using the HP printer with HP inks... it could just be a bad combination but i was extremely disappointed with the results. |

That hasn't bitten me yet, but picture position seems to get reset. If I place the pic on the paper where I want it in Photoshop preview then change the printer's settings, (photo quality, landscape/portrait, etc) I have to redo the placement before printing.
Other than that small annoyance I have no regrets so far on buying this printer.

I bought some paper off ebay last fall from a man who specializes in printer papers and then got on his mailing list and I have purchased paper repeatedly from him since that time. You can find him on ebay or you can shop his website directly at //thepaperking.com/
I will recommend him to anyone who asks. I had my paper within 3 days of my first order and each additional order has come just as quickly. As for the quality of the paper if you email him and tell him what you are looking for he will find you something that is equal to or better than what you are wanting. |

Thanks for the great link to ATLEX.Com! Best OEM prices for Canon printer supplies I have ever found.
You made my day!
My color cartridge went up (print heads are included) this weekend and I needed to order new a one.

I buy a large ream (800 sheets) of Xerox paper at Costco for $5 to use on everyday printing. I buy Kodak Premium Photo paper at Costco as well for $25 - 100 sheets.
