Y'all are missing Jeb's most important point. She hasn't *asked* to be in Team Suck. Let her find her own way.

I posted this in it's own thread, but I'll ask my fellow TS's as well... any improvements you can think of? This is to be printed in an 8x13 (because they have a frame that size with nothing to put in it). Does it look OK?

Yeah, that!

Even though I bought her the D40, it was only after she had decided she was willing to lug a brick around instead of the convenience of a P&S that I did so.

I'd just as soon wait for her to ask.

I was very proud of her 5.7589 in Weekend.

She's gonna be a waaaaaaaay better photographer than I.

She's got a much more creative mind, I just have the ability to see stuff.

I think in August, we need to have a Suck League "Blur" festival.

My thwarted attempts at getting pictures of fireworks this year:

If the weather clears up, I might get another chance on Wednesday for more shots.

Or a month of textures. I love textures and do not find them nearly often enough.

It wasn't one of my better ideas, but outside...distractions...kept me from setting up the shot I really wanted. I'm in for Dreams, and last I peeked my Lucky 7 was sitting at 5.4 or so.

Wouldn't you know it. This photo was taken yesterday with natural light. I spent a lot of the day on this effort. It was needed as a newspaper head shot. There will be an article in the Palm Beach Post, because of the blue ribbon I won at the Cornell Museum.

Now I have to do another for the challenge this week. Isn't that always the way it goes?!

Of course I will. I'll milk this ribbon for all it's worth. ;P

Terrific shot Juli. The lighting is terrific.
I feel your pain when it comes to challenges, seems like I'm always a week late. :)

I'm very excited about the natural light portrait challenge. I happen to have a couple of beautiful models handy, and my current 5th-best score was just such a shot. Unfortunately, I can't get both of them in my top 5 at the same time!

On da udder hand, I bet there'll be a bazillion entries compared to Paper, and I usually like to be in the smaller challenge.
07/11/2007 05:15:52 PM · #1748
Blah, every time I update my scores, they drop. I should turn them off again..

The Natural Light challenge looks interesting though, but I think levyj413 is right--there will be like 400+ entries once we start voting.

Will anyone be surprised to hear that I am *thrilled* to see a portrait challenge come up ??
07/11/2007 09:04:51 PM · #1750
ok, something's not right. every time i hit update, the score goes up. of course, now that i've said this, it'll plummet. it started on 5.3, a nice average score, not it's on 6.3. whoa nelly. the dichotomy of suck.
