I don't mind the text, but I think it is more of a distraction than an enhancement. Unless the parents requested it, I would leave it out. They know who she is and what year it is.
I would try reducing the highlight on the main photo. It seems a little harsh to me and seems to wash out the child somewhat. If adjusting the highlights and shadows flattens the image too much, try a teeny bit of adjustments to the offset and gamma (taking the sliders ever so slightly to the left. They can be found under Image>Adjustment>Exposure. |

I like the layout and the pics seem nicely representative of the young lady. I'm not sure about the text part. Maybe move the lower left pic up a tad and put the text lower? I'd prefer it straight but that's the anal retentive engineer in me talking. And should you be so possessed, you could wickedly highlight and oversharpen the eyes in the main pic - or maybe just do a bit of dodging to lighten them up a touch. I suspect her parents will love it, too. |
