To all the members in this side challenge, I apologize for being so slack in my comments - it's been crazy busy here at work and barely get time for my own shots. I was trying to find a way to make it easier to find them all, and ended up making a folder in my bookmarks, then on the first page of this thread is the list of participants. I copied each username, then opened that username in a new window, found the appropriate folder in that user's portfolio (thanks to all those that organized the as such), dragged that folder url in my 30-Day floral bookmark folder, went back to it and right-clicked, properties, and pasted the username in for that bookmark.
Now that I have each user's 30-day florals in easy reach, it will be a lot easier to get caught up.
Not being a quitter, here's my Day 9:

I enthusiastically second that! Thank you to all who created a 30-day Floral folder. I often look to see what your other posts are. It's wonderful to see all these portfolio's, also! |

It is refreshing to have people comment for a change. This is my first side challenge and I have gotten more comments mostly constructive or suggestive this past week than a whole year in the weekly voted challenges. So please comment away. |

Nit picky? Your comments are great!!! Keep them coming please!
And I promise, I will also catch up with comments soon. I've been crazy busy with family parties (birthdays, graduation, etc.) and doctors appointments. I've been having trouble squeezing in my own shots too. |

Welcome Tej...it's never too late!
...and I thought I'd repost this, from my starting comment in this very thread on what my original ideas were for this 30 day challenge:
"Do macro, still life, interiors, candids, whatever...just so long as the floral component is there."
We have 30ish days of this so it might be nice to mix it up a bit a try something different/new.
If some want to keep doing macro and macro-ish shots, keep on keepin' on but please don't feel that you have too...there is no DNMC here...play with processing, experiment with composition, lighting, movement, exposure, you name it! It's a veritable free for all and have fun...just have something floral in the image somewhere. |

If you don't mind, I did this re-edit:
It's cut a bit too close maybe, but that's all I could do with what was available. I adjusted curves, cloned out a few little imperfections on the leaves (the flower is so perfect, the petals scream to be perfect), and added the border to set it off from the gray of the webpage.
Oh, I forgot, ran through Noise-Ninja.
Just saw this - excellent changes Ursula - thanks! This has been a great learning experience and we're only on day 9 |

Excellent - I like this better than the desat one. Partly because I just love color, can't help it, yup I'm a color freak - you should see my house ;) |
