Yeah, ditto. I think it has something to do with having a little girl of my own.

And for me to have teared up over that really says something because I absolutely hate that song...!

wow, that was crazy good! She'll do very well for sure. I cant believe shes only 6! Normally the ones that young just be cute but don't do well, she was amazing. Simon's reaction was priceless and really says something about her abilities.

I blame that judge for making me cry. Once I saw her let loose...it was Niagara Falls.

WOW. I cried with the little girl and she's definately got a future. And that guy was amazing too. Didn't cry with him but, wow.

I wish I had satelite or something to follow that show.

Quick update, the Opera Guy goes through to the final, another standing ovation, blew the competition away. Go Paul Potts!!!

They should bottle that voice and take it to the most hostile regions of this world. Wars will end, plants will flourish and then sun will shine. beautiful and thanks for posting!

I hardly EVER cry, and the little girl had me crying.

The opera guy didn't make me cry, but I did get goosebumps.

That girl sang the song well but it's her cuteness and age that makes it special not her singing. The opera guy is just the opposite. His singing is what carried the wow factor for me.

That was awesome!

Yay, I found the video of Paul Pott's semi final performance. What a voice!!!

Yup. 51 year old man New Yorker here, eyes full of tears. I've noticed I'm turning into an old soft-hearted mess with more frequency the last few years. Jeez.

This comment on Youtube says it all..

"He is that quintessential everyman hiding an extraodinary talent. He is a lesson to all of us that looks are not the be all and end all...talent once in a while does shine or in Mr Potts case, burst through!"

Also Piers Morgans comment afterwards is bang on.

I am loving this TV series at the moment and I hardly EVER watch TV. It really has hit the nail on the head in almost every quarter. Even the fact they are happy to use imagery incorporating the Union Flag (Union Jack) as much as possible, something a LOT of people/programs are scared to use these days is a massive massive gamble that is paying off. Loads of people at work are talking about this. Its above Pop Idol/X-Factor in that it isnt all about looks and the next "painted by numbers" popstar.

Also, its got Amanda Holden, who is just incredibly hot.

I hate to say it, but I liked his first performance better than this one.

Me too, but theres no doubt that he has major tallent. Im sure in person it would have been 100x better, but on the internet it can only be so good.

I put that down to all the noise the audience was making - he was hard to hear. But imagine him recording in a proper studio, minus distracting noise and plus all those helpful buttons and sliders.

I disagree...his top notes were cleaner and purer in the semi final then in the Nessum Dorma. He gained some confidence. He has great top notes but his middle and lower need some work. A good teacher can fix that up and even extend his range....and career.

wow both were amazing, I really hope Paul wins
