I'm pretty sure there used to be the option of showing the reference guides again after you have cleared them. Does anyone know what ever happened to that option in Photoshop and if it is somehow available as an add-on? I do design work and I use the guides quite often but it is irritating knowing that once I clear the guides so I can more easily view my work that I can't turn them back on again. It doesn't make much sense, it works that way in Pagemaker. I'm using PS 7.

dont 'clear' them, tim. instead, just 'hide' them. then they won't go away.

I know that's the way it should work but I can't find Hide Guides in Photoshop 7. My only options are Lock Guides, Clear Guides, and New Guide. Maybe Hide Guides is there somewhere and I just can't find it.

It's hidden (sic) under the View->Show->Guides menu - though why it isn't four lines down with the rest of the Guide menu options is a good question...
