Remember not to post anything for a current challenge until voting is over. Shots relevant to a challenge, even if not entered, are considered outtakes. But why not enter it?

As for Kelly, nope. I'm just waiting to hear from her with some options.

Purple, those all sound like great ideas! I esp. like the one about the hippy. :)

ideas for selective desaturation:

-a man is looking at his house, which has just burned down. his memories of the house are in color.
-only the wind is in color (works best on a windy day)
-a long afternoon with only 3pm in color
-her father, whom she never met, is Irish. Leave only her Irish half in color.
-the pincushion is full. Only the points are in color.
-the desert is in color. the blood is black.

Good ideas Don. Seems like the harder I try to think of something for this challenge, the worse my ideas are.

I think at this point, I am not going to shoot for the challenge per say. I'll just go out and take a bunch of pictures. Hopefully something will appear that will work.

Is that when the baby is due, or has she already been born?
Congrats though! Can't wait to see the pictures.

OK I got a pic for desat, don't know if yer average dpcer will get it, but I'm sure the wise sages here on TS will *shameless sucking up*

I think I know whom I'm going to shoot for username...should be fun...

I'm in desat - I took a lot of pictures anyway today and desat is a fair way to emphasise the main subject in them, as much as I dislike the technique...

Re: klstover's camera. I don't think she actually asked us to have a whip-round, so the whole thing might be just doing her head up (I speak purely from my own point of view, I hasten to add). Anyway, be nice.

I tend to only get comments on my really bad images (current Silky-Smooth entry riding at about 4.3, with 8 comments), but someone in Team Suck appreciated it!

Watch out though, I've been taking pictures of my son for a monthly updated photo site (for distant relatives), and he's become quite a ham. Well, not just a ham, but a full on bacon wrapped pork sandwich! When I was setting up the shot for my Kitchenware shot, he heard my camera turn on from upstairs, and came running down. "Are you taking pictures Daddy??"

What's a good entry camera for a 3 year old boy?

My submission privileges have been stopped because of a DQ, until the 05/21/2007.

The cheapy disposable cameras are now about $5 but of course they ain't digital...I think crayon used to shoot with a Barbie camera...maybe paint it a colour other than pink?

I'm starting to have the opposite problem now. My niece, who loved to be in front of the camera has hit that age (10) where she runs and flees when I bring the camera out.

Here are some low-end p&s cameras:

Canon,

Sony,

Nikon.

It really depends on how much you want to spend.

My original camera, a Samsung with 2.1 mp is probably available for under $100 by now, if they still make them...I'd sell you my old one but already sold it to bf!

My 6.1 mp camera is now available all over for under $200.00 and has a LOT of features for that money.

Thanks for the links, but I think these are all more than I want to spend on a camera that will break in my son's hands. Maybe I can wait until he's 4..
