I like how you inply that puns count as a degeneration from a horrible attack. I apologize for derailing the thread. I'd like to hand it back intect, but, well... you know. ;-) |
Maybe you could hand it back intact instead? |

I hate to point any fingers at the instigators but this is, hands down, the punniest thread I've seen here. |

Punniest? I don't know, that may be going out on a limb. |

The owner was a motivated seller though... cost and arm and a leg to feed it. The zoo thought they could cut the budget in half though. |

and btw: the arm is back to it's rightful owner. It took surgeants 7 hours to sew (?) it back on. |

And bear in mind that was a very wide angle lens. I suspect he was within one foot, no more than 2 feet from the alligator. Of course he may have a positive personal relationship with the gator. The gator is thinking only one thing: "You need a 10.5 fisheye to really do this right."

I wonder if the zoo workers will eventually find humor in this situation, too? I hear the vet was already in stitches. |

I guess the vet thought the croc was armless... or disarmingly good-looking? Maybe the croc wanted some elbow room and just snapped, refusing to knuckle under, and taking back the wrist of his personal space?

Apparently so. If the worker reached through iron bars, the croc would only have to grab on and twist. Of all people, you'd think a vet would be a little more careful about making sure the animal was tranquilized! Since the croc didn't swallow the arm, it could have been playing a prank rather than looking for food... maybe he just wanted to try something humerus? |
...and if the worker was, indeed, reaching through the bars and waving his arm around, it all boils down to the radius.
Now there's a feeble attempt at a pun.

If the worker had seen it soming, he'd have been OK, as forewarned is forearmed.
Anyway, elbow out gracefully now (say it quickly and it might just sound like "I'll bow" out...)

This is really a warped bunch, when such a serious subject seems to tickle so many funnybones. |

Does it make sense to shoot an endangered species to save the limb of an over populated species? Thankfully the zoo officials missed...
"The crocodile is listed as an endangered species, and is rapidly disappearing from its native African habitat" |

That's one smart croc. We should all give him a hand. :)
