The shot was done in my back yard (there is a protected forest behind our house). I had Rachel stand in the shade under some trees and Taylor (my daughter) stand in a sunny spot a few feet away with the reflector. Taylor aimed the reflector to bounce the sunlight across Rachel's face. I used the gold side of the reflector for the warm tones, but could have turned it around to the white side for a brighter look. We shot at 1:00 - 2:00pm, so having her stand in full sunlight wouldn't have looked very good.

That's what I said when someone said it to me. I was told it is when you are looking at the picts on your camera screen immediately after taking them.

usually involves turning the screen to the person next to you and saying "ooo... ooo... look at this one..." w/ the "ooo... ooo..." part sounding much like, well, a chimp...

An unusual self-portrait.

Second :
My son showing off the fat lip he got last night.

Third :
My actual portrait-a-day entry - My daughter and her cheesy grin.

Day 7 (and still no repeats)

Not sure if this really counts as a portriat. Definitley not a studio portrait - maybe more environmental. These two were fun to talk with afterwards.

Can't decide which I like best. Also I wonder is there a good way to decrease the shadows caused by the flash

Day 7, not at all original, but I've never tried it before! Still experimenting with toning too, trying to find different colours and things which I like. Never really done Tritone before either so I'm learning by experimentation :)

Day 7 - Before and After Edits

The first is my original edit. The second image is the same shot but finished with the free makeshift LucasArt plugin filters linked from another thread.
