This is my son, Jason, and his wife, Natalie. Jason is like his mom in that he HATES having his picture taken. I have a couple others where he's looking all serious and not smiling, but Natalie was able to say something that made him belly laugh, and THAT was the moment I wanted, because this is them. They have amazing senses of humor, and love to play. Jason's an associate pastor at our church -- and Natalie sings like you wouldn't BELIEVE! She's the head worship leader.

They're Jackson's parents, and Natalie's claim to fame on DPC is that it was her 10-toed kiss that won us a ribbon :)

It's all about timing isnt it? You shoot and shoot and shoot but you have to be ready to catch that one crack up and the smile right after. Great job Sandy.

Lovely portrait. As someone who doesn't know these two, I can really sense the connection between them without needing to know they're married. A photographer who can interpret that and pass it on to an arbitrary viewer is talented indeed. Well done.

What an excellent capture of joyful emotion. You only have a split second to capture an emotion like this, and you did it well. What beautiful people! This photo makes you smile when you look at it.

Oh my goodness, Sandy! You have captured a moment that is so special and so genuine here! You have a gift for seeing who people really are and then photographing them at just the right instant to allow us to get a glimpse into their personalities as well. They should have a huge copy of this beautiful image, framed and hanging in their home. Wow!
